Yup, we're in both of them.

It looks like ND is on both lists.

It sounds like Dan's top 5 involves most of Big 10 country with a sprinkling of western flavor:

PSU, OSU, ND, Michigan, and Stanford - no particular order

As for Baldwin, the final 10 are:

OSU, GT, Miami, UF, FSU, Pitt, Michigan, ND, Alabama, and Southern Cal - no particular order

Danny really liked Stanford when he visited. Really liked it.

sounds good, but im not sure we get either of them

Really?

He did say Really...he Really did!

Wow, I Really didn't know that he said "Really"

none of us are sure but in the end I think ND get's McCarthy and I bet it comes down to ND and UM for Baldwin.

I can step back from being being an ND fan and not be bias and I can REALLY say that I believe that ND is a better fit for him.

With both of these guys, I think we're in as good a position as we could ask.

With Baldwin, we're on the radar, are going to get an official visit (baring some unforeseen idiotic move on ND's part), and can woo him a multitude of ways (big receiver tradition at ND, combo of thin depth chart and a pro style offense, academics, etc). Considering the HS he's from, to ask for anything more than that would be foolish. We've got a shot.

With McCarthy, we're amongst his top 3, and also have a good things in our corner (family ties, interest in academics).

If I had to guess, I'd say we land McCarthy, but don't land Baldwin, but thats just a guess.

hearing that he loved his stanford visit and that he's really interested in academics (which stanford is a top school). Looks like it might be down to us, hometown tOSU, and Stanford

Really?

He did say Really...he Really did!

Thought I was making something obvious there, but I guess it flew over you.

Really?...uh, let's not start that again.

Good Morning Colin...no harm, no foul. Its all good brother. Admit...it was a bit fun?

really?

haha, other people are really hearing different things, that's all Colin.

i think our only advantage with Baldwin is that he can trust that ND has no intentions of making him a TE, which is probably what SC would want him to do (though they can sell him on the whole Mike Williams, Dwayne Jarrett thing).

yea Baldwin is a big dude, it isn't very easy for a 6'7 kid to play receiver. I'm sure he has long strides but sometimes that kinda size can slow you down and he's more exposed to injury compared to a smaller, more compact guy.

Well, I too think we have a good shot but I'm happy CW and the staff are being upfront with him about where they would play him. Same with Pryor.

I think ND is the only school on his list that he can trust when the staff says, "We want you at WR."

There simply won't be room for Baldwin at TE - he would have to beat out a lot of "true" TE's (Ragone, Rudolph, Fauria, Reuland, and Yeatman being the youngest names in South Bend).

I agree and while that it true that most are recruiting him as a TE whereas ND is recruiting him as a WR but whats the worst that happens is that he ends up a TE in school that's producing TE's.
