I know the possible transfer of Zach is beating the horse to death but in viewing DD member Subway Domer's Blog he recommended viewers to go to OC Domer's Blog for a Zach read. It really does cover what Zach meant to the program when he committed and says what quality we must have now in his possible transferring.

Good read John. The one take I didn't agree with was Charlie naming 3 to keep 2 from transfering. It doesn't make much sense to me as I don't think Evan would transfer anyway. Basically the race is too close to separate them. Funny the speculation of Jimmy transfering after year one, most likely a moot point as he will be our starter at years end barring injury.

yeah the part about Clausen...what was that all about? transfer after one year? is that guy serious? he lost all credibility to me when i read that...

I'd have to agree. I just think he did it for the reasons stated. He needed more time and each guy had their own thing. As for the guys transferring i'd have to say that Zach is the only one anyone though would transfer. ok, that i though would possibly transfer. Still i say if he's such a ND guy as his dad has said a lot lately, why would he leave? I understand the playing time thing, don't get me wrong, but you'd still get your UND degree, education, experience.

:D oc domer is waiting for activation as a member to defend himself here. :) I posted at his blog and did ask ryan to pass on oc as quickly as possible. All in all I thought it a great read and covered all the ground from Zac's giving his verb up till now.

And hey Champ and you Californians, another cali guy in the fold here

Welcome OC, no need to defend yourself, just differing opinions.

My opinion, on the thee rather than his stated 2 is a form of "insurance" now with the elbow "procedure" Weis and the Dad got into. Which I don't want to get into cause like OC I got jumped on too much  If healthy it will quickly go down to two QB's IMO.

Not sure why you feel like a victim John, opinions generally don't get "jumped" on by the board, offensive comments about players do. Differing ideas are what this board is all about.

If DJones has a big year at QB this season you can safely bet Clausen will transfer

I realize it is now down to 3 QB's, but I don't see if DJ gets the nod in the fall Clausen jumps ship. Worst Clausen ends up as # 2 QB. If # 1 goes down with an injury or # 1 has a bad game then Clausen comes in. Also, fall 2008 you have another QB in Crist coming in which keeps the pressure on.

Oh how nice it is to have these problems for a change!

OC, very interesting to say the least. But it is what it is...an opinion. I like it! I am not of the same opinion...but I like where you went with this. You have initiated a 'conspiracy theory'. I also like your site.

By the way...Welcome to Domer Domain. I see Cali is continuing to be represented. :winking:

Yeah i'm sure JC came to ND just so he can be a backup and hope for an injury to DJ. If DJ has a big year, JC is gone

I don't see why JC would transfer after being the starting QB for a half season at Notre Dame!! Everybody has an opinion.

IMHO I believe that we are going to have 2 qb's starting this year.DJ and JC.Both give you 2 different styles of Offense. And I believe CW will figure out who he will go with before mid season.I think JC in very short time willbe the starting QB at ND. :D

You say it with such authority HC, I almost thought you said it twice

Heismancaliber, I don't expect to see Jimmy Clausen transfer period and I am not so sure he will be # 2 QB. If for some chance DJ gets the nod he is going to have JC breathing down his neck. To assume at this point DJ is going to have a great year is premature. Also, the surgery JC had may factor into it. You had a early enrolle freshmen, with an injury to boot and learning the playbook for the first time and he makes the cut down to 3. Weis went to SoCal on first day recruiting in I believe in 2007 and met JC. DJ better blow away JC or he may keep looking back.

Next Fall will be fun!
