IMO, Filer > Sweat.

I would take either of them. But If we get Sweat this summer, we will h2ve room for either Filer or Sabino. IMO, we have a better shot with Filer.

Would love to see this guy pull the trigger for us, but I'm not holding my breath yet....

Kinda hard to tell who is better. The biggest problem is with Filer's film - it's eye level camera work for the most part, that is somewhat shaky and doesn't reveal how good he is. The only thing I can base his talent off of is the fact ND offered him so early. All I can tangibly say is that Sweat is a very good prospect, who has good athleticism, and can play sideline to sideline, while displaying a knifing ability in the backfield.

When I heard Sweat interviewed by Mike Frank, Andrew told him he was being recruited as an ILB. The film on him is as an ILB in their base 4-3, and he remains inside even when they go to a 3 down lineman look (not sure if its a 3-4 look or if its a 3-3-5 - too hard to tell without knowing all their players).

 

With that in mind, I think that Sweat coming on board would bump Filer off our board (to get back to hamiljar's speculation), unless they switch tunes and recruit Filer for OLB.

 

Sweat visiting this weekend is positive news from Nick. I heard ND wasn't going to get another visit out of him, so this does shine a little hope on the matter.

Is that think, or you heard? I've read that Sabino is being looked at as an OLB, but I've heard nothing about where Brown would fit in, and I've read that Filer was at least initially being recruited at ILB - if not to this day - at the "Jack" position, same as Posluszny.

I haven't seen Filer being recuited as an OLB.
