Looks like he's from the same school as Aaron and Brett Nagel

Hmmm, strong offer list, I wonder why no love from the Irish. While we have 3 OL on board, it hasn't been the easiest position to recruit this year. Anyone have any idea why he hasn't been offered?

With only one more spot left on OL, I guess the staff likes their chances with the guys they've offered. I think once Forst goes elsewhere, Pocic could pickup an offer.

Shark - don't you think with Page there as a high OL target and then possibly Z. Sanders gets an offer first?

Yes, I would love for Sanders to be offered. Not sure if him not listing ND anymore on his profile is just because there's only a certain number of spots on each player's profile and he has a ton of offers from other schools, or if ND not offering is why they aren't on there and he's just not interested anymore.

As for Page, I've seen a few posters high on him. I can't say I've honestly followed his recruitment closey, is he high on us?

When he first got the offer, he said he doesn't have a top five, but that if he were pressed for one, ND would "definitely" be in it.

It sounds like he's cooled off his rhetoric, but my guess is he doesn't want to back himself into a wall, and deter other programs into thinking that ND is his destination, etc. Kind of like how Floyd first said ND is in the lead, then started grouping everyone together, trying not to tip his hand as who his #1 is right now.

If we don't get him, its probably because he's from the South (South Carolina), and doesn't want to go too far from home. But thats IMO.

I think once Forst goes elsewhere, Pocic could pickup an offer.

Right now, we are sitting pretty good with Forst. A change from what I heard earlier. We are in his top 2 and many think we are leading. I know nothing factual here.

As for Pocic, I hear ND was very impressed by him at the Purdue camp to the point that an offer is very possible for him.

I can tell you we aren't leading with Forst. And there are viable reasons for why so many think his ship has sailed. Click on the link:

East Recruiting Notebook

"Making my decision will be difficult. I like them all, but Rutgers is my No.1 right now, because home is No.1 for me right now. I’m not someone who needs to be home, but if I had to commit today, it would be there and I know I wouldn’t regret going there."

So, why hasn't he pulled the trigger?

Any # of good reasons. Maybe he's waiting to take official visits. Maybe he's got parents telling him to further research the schools on his own. Maybe he's secretly interested in playing time, and wants to see which depth chart shakes out. Maybe he's waiting to see if Rutgers regresses this year. Point is, a whole lot of maybes, 'cause its a question he hasn't been asked, or at least his answer hasn't been published.

Calves that article was on the 25th of April, things can change really fast. I think that's what Rock meant by saying it was a change from what he heard earlier.

My thoughts exactly...has he been to BC, Florida, etc...? Maybe Forst just wants to wait until he's visited everywhere to be absolutely sure about Rutgers. Either way it looks like the Blue/Gold atmosphere wasn't enough to sway him from NJ.

*Scratches chin*... that would've been about two weeks... does anyone know if any of the coaches visited him post-spring game?

On another note... The kid has offers from Florida, Florida state, Penn State, Tennesse, Wisconsin to name a few. With that offer list, Weis has to be confident with where he's at now.

Haha... I was actually just curious about whether the coaching staff visited him though. I know three of them - including Weis - knocked on Kenneth Page's door, so I wondered if they were showing Forst the same kind of "love".

But I do know what you mean. 17-18 year olds change their minds like infants change diapers; its frequent, and sometimes it gets a little messy.
