Eathan Johnson has said in a recent article that USC is his leader and i don't expect that to change. i can't remember what all was said but i was left with the impression that USC has him almost wrapped up.

We need him... the staff can convince him to be Irish...come on Ethan.

Russ, I remember the Scout article you are referring to I think and he actually never stated that USC was his leader, he just had a lot of good things to say about them after his visit. He has family in southern Cali as well and they all hung out together. He had nice things to say about ND in the article and said he would try to make it to ND at some point as well.

Also, he was one of the earlier offers from the staff and one of Ethan's first so I don't think he'll forget that. He would be an amazing addition to the team!

i agree, i read the same article and it never said USC was the leader.

Everyone who read it acted like they had the inside info that USC was the leader, but the article was right after he visited USC.

I like that he still had good things to say about us even though he just got back from the SC visit.

I dont know where he's gonna go, but his recruiting is far from over.

I think with our success in CA we shouldnt worry about him being lost already. If he is coming to the camp then we will have plenty of opportunity to impress him. Everyone leaves USC impressed....good thing for us is EVERYONE leaves ND impressed.

I agree, it looks VERY good for USC right now, but if we can get him to come this summer and camp, then I believe anything can happen. I'm sure he'll be at the ND/USC game come October....talk about an electrc atmosphere.

I never understood why everyone just assumed this kid was USC's, I read the article and what are you reading? He says good things about them, but he isn't wetting himself like Beal was. He's going to visit ND and thats a good sign. I don't care if he has family there he lives in Oregon not Cali for god sakes stop calling him USC's.

I keep getting this guy mixed up with Myles Wade from last year. Kept wondering why he's still being debated when I thought he signed with Oregon

Ease up on Beal, I want that guy and fact is you dont really know what's up with him...if nothing else, he's from Jersey and you are a Yankees fan (knight). I don't (always) hold it against you so cut him a little slack, who had it all pulled together at 17? did u?

I want Beal and I aint giving up

The guy is pretty hard to follow though, you have to admit. As amateur recruitniks, it has to be frustrating when you hear, "You're the one that I'm waiting for", only for him to speak glowingly about the next five schools he visits too. It makes it very difficult for coaches to guess where they stand with him. We'll see, but if the coaches feel other guys fit the bill as well or better than him, they might just avoid the headache, and put their eggs in different baskets.

I don't understand the confusion when a kid(Beal) recently says he mainly considering two schools and we're not one of them. He has a crush on Cushing and Urbans BBQ's. We have bigger fish to fry such as Sabino my new favorite.

I sure hope we get him!

This would be the 1st. kid from Oregon since the mid eighties or earlier? Every year i would look at the roster, and hope to see an Oregonian. Almost happened last year with Wade "have fun looking like a jackass in U of O Uni."

I live right by Lincoln high, if he commits this summer it would be cool to check out a game. And see this beast with my own two eyes.
