I can tell you that he was part of one of the worst broadcast booths in the history of organized sport. When he was doing Sunday Night Football on ESPN, with Mike Patrick and that other clown, my ears bled for every minute that I didn't have the TV muted.

I understand and completely agree with your take. It wasn't as much that Joe spoke, than the timing. But I have always felt and I will not waver in the fact that our Alumni, especially those in the forefront are and should remain accountable. This is but one of the things that makes Notre Dame.

JT has always had a big mouth. Sport Illustrated had him on the cover saying how he never shut up and was always getting himself in trouble. Professional? this guy changed his name for god sakes. He and Tony Kornheiser always would get into little arguments during MNF, and it kind of seemed like one of them was going to get fired at the end of the year. I'm glad that ESPN sided with Kornheiser.

Theismann is a dick, period. My company sponsored a big part of a big industry event in Arizona, and we invited Joe as the speaker (I hired him b/c i'm a Domer and figured would generate some interest-well known guy, etc).

Anyway, the scumbag spends the whole 45 minute talk talking about our competition, and their (admittedly) charismatic owner...and we were the ones that flew his ass in, paid him 30K to speak.

i declined the opportunity to "kiss his ring" at the private event afterwards. f-him.
