I thought ND was recruiting him before he verballed to A&M? He seems to be the perfect size for a NT. Anyone think there is a chance there? His video is pretty impressive.

1. I don't think we should be getting hopeful about guys that have already verballed elsewhere. If a guy de-commits, or says, "I gave a soft verbal to _____," then we pay attention. But otherwise, we as fans start to sound like we condone poaching, which we all scream at Urban Meyer about.

 

2. Notre Dame never offered him, so I don't think there's much going on there.

What the heck is going on with A&M? They've had like 3 or 4 guys decommit in the past couple days. Something is going on there.

I think he's a prospect thats right on the cusp of getting offered. My bet is if a guy like Omar Hunter commits somewhere else,Tony Gillespie is the next one offered. Probably higher up on their wish list than guys like Goebel or Kabongo, but you never know.

It doesn't make any sense. He said that he was getting too many calls while he was committed to OSU so he decided to open up his recruitment but not deal with recruiting so that he can concentrate on his upcoming year. HUH?

 

I also read another article that said that he said he was having personal issues that he needed to get right. I have no idea what that means but it didn't sound optimal. I don't want to sound like a d!ck or anything but IMO he won't be getting much attention from ND. Unless my impression of what I read was totally off base.

tchris, u might be the most negative poster ive seen in recent weeks. does it matter who you're interested in? or who u want? ur right it doesnt matter. also does it matter what u think? nope. so let the coaching staff do their job, if they're interested in him or any other recruit, let them be. they've been in football longer than u, and know a helluva a lot more than u, so let them do their job. i trust CW and CB, so if they want these guys, guess what...me too!!!

It may be off base then, because Scout just posted an article with him saying that he did de-commit and he's "open to all schools, especially big ones like ND" !!!!!! He also goes on to say that if ND picked up the interest again, he'd love it and they'd have a real good shot.

 

He also enjoys playing the nose in the 3-4 and actually has played it during his freshman and soph yrs.

Really not sure on that one, i've never seen any type of gpa or ACT score for him. But if the coaches were at his school, and they're starting to pick up the interest, he has to be at least somehwhat in the area of qualifying.

I believe the Brooks brothers were from Jenks as well: Reggie and Tony. Tony was a stud and I was frustrated with Reggie for 3 years until he had that monster senior year.
