From Coach Weis presser

Q. As far as your week goes, how much of that will you dedicate to recruiting this week?

COACH WEIS: Besides nighttime, it all depends. We have one pending personal issue that's going on that is not personal with anyone here, but one pending personal issue that's going on.

But right now Thursday and Friday look like my days for that. As a matter of fact, we'll wait and see, but it might be with me on the road.

Q. When you go on the road, are you going to be seeing or talking to the coaches, or do you like to look at a high school kid?

COACH WEIS: No. If I'm going, I'm going for a purpose. I'm not going to schmooze.

With the "Magnificent Seven" going on the road again are their any hints in Rivals or BG etc as to whom or where? I thought surely we would pick up one or two during USC. The campus was rocking.

I am sure that we picked up a few "silent verbals, I think that Weis is looking to close the deal on a select few: Gerald McCoy,Konrad Reualnd,Sam Young etc...

I have also heard that they are targeting a few juniors, Jimmy Clauson and his team mates Marc Tyler and Marshall Jones. as well as other junirs like Andrew Daily(a big time LB out of ohio) Josh Oglesby(6'8 305) tackle from Wiscy and a few others.

werent they looking at simms too?

yes :D

That's the kinda news to cheer us up guys on a bye. :D

I'd say like before IF the Simms kid continues to develop next year he's a lock for Notre Dame. :D Simms has been complimentary about Weis on NFL, both from New Jersey and importantly Simms had attended a small KY College, so no ties to another major institution.

If I was a former NFL guy I'd want my son at Charlies football factory. :D

I did a quick check for you guys. Simms played ball 1979 to 1993 with the Giants. Coach Weis was with Giants 3 years 1990 to 1992. So more than a passing acquantence there regarding his son :D
