Guest domerdude
Just curious on anyone elses thoughts but- Last year at this little BnG game a young guy named Clausen commited down the street at the HOFame. Crist has also said he will anounce friday.... Is this a new standard. That one of th top QB's in the country must commit by the BnG game???? if so I am definately on board. Also anyone think that Flemming and Newman pull the trigger this weekend??
Guest bluester2000
I'm just looking for 3 solid commits this weekend. Regardless of who they are I'll be happy.
Guest GoshenGipper
I think Crist will on Thurs. night, and Newman will this weekend. Flemming is supposed to be in Columbus this weekend with Filer.
IrishCalves
You sure on Fleming? I don't know that they've even offered him, and Ohio State isn't even listed as a favorite on either Scout or Rivals.
Guest shark83
Fleming will be in South Bend this weekend.
IrishCalves
I'm keeping my guard up in only expecting one commit, but IMO I think we've got a real good shot at having two by the end of the week (Crist & Fleming). If Crist spends a 4 day visit at Notre Dame, and soon after decides to make a commitment without seeing Lloyd Carr & Co. as he planned (am I mistaken?), I'd say the odds look good. As for Fleming, the # of visits, plus the fact that he's friends with Robert Hughes, a fellow Chicagoan to me translates to very good odds of landing him as well. Newman may or may not, but I for some reason don't think he's quite ready to pull the trigger, might want to digest the B&G game, but again, thats just opinion. Two of the other names mentioned, Art Forst and Hafis Williams, I think need more time. ND isn't in the lead for Forst, and I got the feeling Williams wants to take a little more time, to check out all his options.
Guest GoshenGipper
Well if Flemming is going to be there, then I think both he and Newman will be Irish come Monday morning, and as long as McDonalds hints pan out then I think Crist will commit to ND tomorrow night, hopefully giving the Irish 10 commits by the end of this weekend. Guest JerseyDomer
Darius Fleming and Brandon Newman over the weekend. Dayne Crist Thursday night. Won't be shocked to see Hafis Williams pull the trigger shortly after the Blue and Gold game, will be his 2nd time out to South Bend and he'll know he belongs here. I think Forst will be awed this weekend as well and will verbal next month after Charlie hits the recruitng trail hard in May. Last year we got Ragone to verb in May and I think we get another Jersey boy this yr to verb in May as well in Forst

patches12345
Jersey, sounds good to me man. This is turning out to be a sick class.
Guest SirJohn
I've been quiet over here cause my New jersey priest has been ill and i get no more inside for awhile. For what it's worth....An old lady two doors down is a big U of Louisville fan. We 'combat' by putting my ND stuff outside the door and the shelf as she does U of L. My daughter got me an ND floor mat for entrance next week she had U of L's which was 3 times bigger. Silly one upmanship. She beats me soundly, as her son is a U of L wealthy booster. I was outside this morning when both were leaving. I asked "What's your take on Newman?" In passing he said "I think you guys got him." This is all second hand, off the cuff, no inside but said by a U of L booster. I know little of this guy even living in LOUISVILLE

Guest JerseyDomer
Hey, ya gotta be optimistic!! Plus, I just really think the stars are starting to align for us and kids are starting to realize just how special Notre Dame is and can be. tchris555
Jersey, sounds good to me man. This is turning out to be a sick class. IF all these things happen. But i dont think Fleming and Newman are as sure of things as we all knew McDonald was so I'm just going to wait and see.
Guest SirJohn
I debated all morning reporting this off the cuff remark about newman. I finally thought he's an inside U of L booster, I know crap there, so go ahead.
MikejND
It's great to see the optimism, and hear we should land these kids during the Spring game. It's just hard for me to totally believe it all until it happens. I, more than anyone want these guys to come on board, but their is also the possibility they dont. Not to bring up last year, but we did see first hand how it felt to get burned.
