Guest NDisNCin2010
First Rashad White out of Teaneck, and now Legrand? Schiano is gonna be a real pain in the ass for us as long as he's there. He is keeping the Jersey elite home, and Jersey has some serious talent year in and year out, that Charlie, without Schiano, could be taking the pick of the litter. too bad schiano didnt go to Miami... Guest mpstunner11
Yeah - but we never offered Legrand. Forst will be a different situation if he decides on Rutgers.
irishziggy
i agree that it's not a big blow b/c we never offered Legrand, but if some of our current offers fell through. Legrand would've been a nice edition later in the process. If all else fails, we still have Brett Nagel if we need another LB.
tchris555
good for rutgers. I gotta root for the home state squad. Plus i don't think they'll ever be good enough to be in the championship anyway, but if they can give losses to teams with weak schedules otherwise (like WVU and UL) I'm all for that. That being said, Rutgers, even with Schiano, won't consistently beat us for NJ talent. The school is just not that exciting to most NJ kids. On the Forst kid, there's an article where it says he wants whereever he ends up to be where "God wants him to be". He's extremely Christian so a visit to ND would probably do wonders, despite the fact that his visit to BC underwhelmed him. However, he's also very intrigued about being part of a Rutgers turn around. But if you have the choice of battling anyone for a top 100 kid, it would be Rutgers. NDFan3
White and LeGrand were never major targets for us. Forst on the otherhand, presents our best opportunity for a stud OT in this class. Right now we're in Forst's top 3, and he's visiting this weekend. I get the impression that Forst will be Irish, maybe not this weekend, but eventually. BC is ND's red headed step child. there is no comparison between the places; although Boston is a great town...........
D Fence
ND fan - agree with your comments. LeGrand was too far down on the staff's LB wish listn, but I do think he will be a nice player for State U of NJ
Guest grover
If Forst is extremely christian, about five minutes in the grotto or basilica should make him Irish! After all, ND is God's favorite team.
