NDFan3
yes Finally a top WR who PUBLICLY states we're his leader. Can't wait until he commits!
irishziggy
i really hope he comes to ND. he's a bigtime player
Guest shark83
If there's one blue chip/national recruit I feel really good about, it's definitely Floyd. We have our best recruiter, Rob Ianello, in charge of his recruitment. He has a very good relationship with the Cretin-Derham staff and ND was the first school to offer Floyd. He'll probably announce at the AA Game, which will make many fans restless, but it shouldn't. There is nothing comparable between Floyd and last years situation at the WR position, with WR's who shall remain nameless.
domeanddomer
If there's one blue chip/national recruit I feel really good about, it's definitely Floyd. Even compared to Filer Shark? Filer seemed to be more of a lean not too long ago than Cwynar...and he ended up being solid Irish.

Don't get me wrong Domer, I feel very good about Filer, it's just that Floyd expresses his love for ND a whole heck of a lot more than Filer does. Filer is really playing it "close to the vest" and hasn't really said a whole heck of a lot about his recruitment and doesn't really seem to be enamored with the whole process, probably just an indication of the type of kid he is (Which is perfect for ND). dangeruss
floyd said his mom really liked there ND visit and she really likes the academics and tradition at ND. man i hope we land floyd. http://recruiting.scout.com/2/626714.html
NDFan3
Another good find russ. That 38 inch vert. at his height is pretty impressive. Hopefully he doesn't get the chance to camp at Florida, and he commits at the BG or something.
Guest kramer116
I think that we have nothing to worry about with ol Urby here!! I like our chances with him and he seems to fit Charlie's offense better than those smaller faster guys like percy Harvin that have a little RB in them. Him and Filer are my two favorite recruits!! Guest fighton2007
Floyd will be Irish. There are quite a few blue-chip WR prospects in this 2008 class and he's one of them. On another note, this is a recruiting violation if true: "The day of the Notre Dame's Junior Day was also Pro Day, so we got to see all the guys working out and stuff," Floyd said. "I got to talk with Ryan Harris (Irish offensive tackle) and Marcus Freeman (Irish tight end). It was cool because they are both from my high school and now they're going into the NFL. They told me to keep my head up and not let recruiting stress me out."
IrishLeopard
^^^^^^^^ I dont think thats a recruiting violation cuz he knew them and he attended the same school district as them.......however, it might have been a violation if he talked to rhema or brady tho, but he didnt
Guest fighton2007
The issue isn't about talking to them.. it's attending their pro workout. "13.7.2.8 Professional Tryout or Workout Activities. During an unofficial visit, a prospective student-athlete may not attend events in which professional tryout or workout activities occur. (See also Bylaw 13.6.6.10.)" Say in June, after graduation and the draft, it might get closer to a vioaltion, but not now.
2lakes
From everything I've read, the recruits did not witness "Pro Day" workout. They may, however, have met with the athletes before the workout, say while they were warming up, which would not violate the rule the way it is written. I respect your opinion and I am appreciating how your sharng this info today. Myself, I have no input either way because I do not have the knowledge on the 'Bylaw's'. I will though, feel assured we will be okay based on what my brothers here are adding, they too seem as equally knowledgable on this as you..."fighton". Where and how would I be able to read these for myself? I acknowledge ignorance and would sure like to understand all this. Thank you ahead of time... jfschellcrna
interesting fighton that you would know exactly which bylaws were broken in this case. would it be because usc has broken them so many times that you have become so familiar with them?? you guys have written the book on this subject......
