BG Tom1
Want to know where Clausen stands in Weis's mind? Obviously pretty high considering he was personally on hand to watch Brady Quinn work out in front of the collection of scouts from around the national football leauge. I thought it was pure genius on Charlies part to have a junior day the same day that EVERYONE WHO IS ANYONE IN COACHING CIRCLES IN THE NFL was in attendance to watch Brady and the other draft hopefuls go through their workouts! Seems Charlie has amped up his approach and is going Carroll style!
foreverirish34
DJ was also in attendance, but no frazier?

ColinKSU
great point BG Tom, absoulute Genius on the part of Weis It seems to me it's not genius if he just took the idea from Carrol.
chirodomer
No.....Actually it is genius. See what works and then replicate it. Anyone ever hear of Tony Robbins? It is called modeling. I met Newt Gingrich just before he won Speaker. He told me that he was utilizing Tony Robbins' technology to become the next speaker and guess what? He got it. Just makes sense. Why try to re-invent the wheel?

Guest NDLawJAG
Of course to make it work he needed to get his players to the point that 60+ NFL guys would come out to watch them.

Why try to re-invent the wheel? same analogy can be used about our auto makers. everybody used to make fun of japanese cars when i was a kid. look who's laughing now. they copied everything from detroit and then proceded to make it better. my nephews toyota tacoma has 300,000 miles on it and it runs like new............. Double_Domer
When I saw that JC was there watching Brady's workout, I turned to my wife and said hey that's JC. The blank expression on her face made me happy DD is alive and well - at least you guys understand the significance of my comment.

But I am glad that someone else has these same experiences...Thank you Domer Domain and the fellowship offered here!!! By the way. It was nice to see the 'torch' passed so to speak...with Jimmy looking on at Brady's workout. Just as Joe Montana has been known to drop by the pratices from time to time and speak with the players...this is also an excellant way to keep the tradition and let our future see for themselves our storied past...Go IRISH!!! Guest SirJohn
Double_Domer you mean as long as your wife is ignorant of ND football our future is bright? Kidding all apologies try Abbot and Costllo's whos on first some evening in bed
Double_Domer
I have to clarify my earlier post: apparantly my wife does know who JC is the blank expression on her face was the fact that I got all giddy when I saw him watching Quinn working out. PursuitAce
Nice save double. Marriage preservation technique #24. When you "inadvertently" criticize your wife, apologize and turn it around so that it looks like you made the mistake. Good man!
