Double_Domer
Ara and Lou will be the honorary coaches this year, each with former assistants. Should be fun to watch - predict DD running the option for Lou a few times, while JC chucks it for Ara. Guest SirJohn
Nice find doubleDomer Boy that's going to be some blue Gold game. Perhaps we will never see those two on the same field again.
GoIrish24
Moving this over to General...
Guest SirJohn
I think this is great. Ara and Holtz, like I said we may never see these two on the field again, certainly not at the same time. I can't wait for the "trash talk" Weies et al are really connecting the past to the future. It's so simple and brilliant one has to wonder why no one ever thought of it before. Guest Pete
If anyone has ever had a wet dream about ND running the option, wishbone, or full house backfield then you just got your wish. Ara's team will soon be the front runner for the national championship while Lou's team won't be able to beat the Little Sisters for the Poor. 2lakes
That is amazing. And the first time (in my recollection) that ND has had "real" Coaches for the Blue-Gold game. And as for that dispersion on Coach Holtz, how quickly we forget!
2lakes
Not to mention that Boulac, Fazio, and Yonto will also be coaching; and Browner (he won 2 NCs with Ara) and Rice (24-1 as a Jr/Sr QB) will be Captains. Dude, I hope this game isn't sold out.

2lakes
I will definitely be in the stands and may even throw in the extra Franklins to attend the luncheon. I disagree with the mods moving this from the recruiting page. That weekend will again be very big as far as recruiting is concerned (remember a young man named Clausen last year?). The recruits might not remember these legends, but I am serious when I say that this SPRING GAME might be sold out. That would be quite a sight for those recruits -- "the house that Rockne built" sold out for a spring scrimmage.
Guest SirJohn
2lakes, as nice as both coaches coming were it had nothing to do with recruiting per se. Sean made the best choice he could and I back him 100% to move it to General. This is a very difficult crummy job we have. He's GREAT. I would have moved, forgive me, St. Jude, Bhattas prayer request to General except Nick asked for it to stay, as most hits section for that. We are all doing the best we can and I myself, think Sean made correct choice. I have never seen him do what is not best for DD.
Guest gallup21
Ill be there and im so frickin excited!!!!!!! i can not wait to see 50,000+ be there for a spring scrimmage...that's just unreal.
