Guest seniorle
His speed is crazy and his cutback/shiftiness is nuts. Multiple defenders had the angle on him and they still couldn't catch him. He does look very small though on film so he's prolly need to bulk up a bit but give him the ball and I'm sure he could make something happen. Everyone talks about his work ethic and how dedicated he is in the weight room so I wouldnt worry about that.
Guest BGIF
... He does look very small though on film so he's prolly need to bulk up a bit but give him the ball and I'm sure he could make something happen. Rocket arrived at ND at 5-10 175 and left at 5-10 175. Was Holtz crazy for not bulking him up a bit? Julius Jones arrived at 5-10 190 as a freshman. He was a pretty fair runner as a freshman, wasn't he. He added 10 pounds between his freshman and soph season. In 5 years he added a total of 20-25 pounds . McGuffie is 5-10 191 now and he's got 18 months until his first college game. The kid benches 335 and squats 550. Those are numbers for a Div 1 power back - and this kid's still a Junior. He's carried the ball over 300 times the past two years as a soph and Junior. He's been laser timed in the 40 at 4.33. I wouldn't change a thing about his body. We've got guys to pound the ball. We could use one that can go the distance. He breaks 3 or 4 tackles running backwards at one point. Rocket was fast and elusive. McGuffie is fast and can break tackles.
Guest gallup21
BGIF, youre comparing him to the Rocket? I want him already
Soko
He plays about as fast on tape as anyone I've seen. I believe Weis made a similar cooment to him. Crazy speed and acceleration once he gets any bit of space

Guest gallup21
is he in a pretty good football division. golden tate wasnt in a great football division (i dont believe so), but theyre both pretty darn good football players. If I were a coach, i would look at that tape and say one word ..."WOW"
Guest kramer116
He plays in Texas in a good division, maybe the best, and lights it up. No questions about the talent level.

dangeruss
i would love for ND to land this guy he would give ND another weapon on offense and he would be a crazy good punt returner not to mention teaming up with armando allen on kickoff returns. Guest irishrick
this is great about this young kid, my question is there is a lot of time between today and kick off a year from now. is there a charlie commitment here??? isn't zookie still around along with the poodle and so forth , don't want to get to many hopes up but i think that a lot of time needs to be accounted before i see him in an irish uniform, what say you McGuffie is 5-10 191 now and he's got 18 months until his first college game. i hope he does come , what say you. cw wants commitment. not verbals
Double_Domer
From the videos it looks like he would have some unbelievable stats like 300 rushes, 280 touchdowns, and 5000 yards.
IrishGuy
"The White Noel Devine".....(with grades). That is a great way to describe him Team U. When I saw his 90 yard TD run, and "the hurdle", I thought the same thing. This guy has all the tools, and has the grades.
