He had OSU and scUM as his top schools but it changed once PSU offered. Now that Nd has offered he could put the Irish up there also. He said he planned on visiting ND and hopefully the visit will show him the way.

Thanks for keep us all updated NDFanTexas!

the offers keep rolling out this year and it's very exciting. There are just sooooo many linebackers with serious size and speed. This is an excellent year to get 4 excellent lb's.

Brett Nagel hasn't even been offered yet (i'm guessing he's a fallback option) and he's 6'4, 225 lbs - this is one deeeep linebacker class.

Thanks Ill try my best...

I am confident that we are going to get some stud LB, DE, and DT prospects. These prospects see how well we are going to be stacked on offense in the upcoming years and they are going to want to be a part of the future ND has !! They also see that early playing time will be a big possibility for them.

I second both of those thoughts. We WILL get better (especially defensively) and there will be plenty of playing time considering how weak defensively we were. Hopefully that will lure the recruits in on defense.

the future is bright for the IRISH!!!

IMO all of these guys will be in the 08 LB depth chart. Who else do you guys think we get this year?? It is going to be VERY difficult to move the ball on an LB corp like this. They all have great size and speed, I think is the slowest of them run a 4.7

I would like to see McDonald in there and Legrand. Otherwise I'm happy with that crew of guys

Ah, I can't believe that I forgot McDonald. I feel very strongly that he will be Irish, regardless of whether or not USC offers...add him to the list of OLB.

I'd also like to see LeGrand at the DE/OLB position, but there hasn't been much on him lately. Anyone know if he'll be at the next junior day?

I like LeGrand as a pure DE, but i dont think we're gonna go after him with all the talent out there at LB, and we have others that fit the tweener mode more than him.

anyone know why B&G hasnt updated him as an offer?

They usually know more about ND than rivals n scout. i guess they havent talked with him yet.

we need to offer Sweat, there are a few free clips of him on rivals right now and they are really impressive. when he hits you you stop. really like this kid and he can fly around.

Brian Smith?

we need to offer Sweat

Look at the post title

from everything ive heard, he should be committing within the next couple of weeks.

That is what I'm reading too Ziggy. The way I hear is that ND is the clear leader and he is almost ready to commit. He plans to visit a few more schools over the next few weeks just to make sure he's making the right decision for him. Obviously another school could change his mind but ND is the clear leader and unless something changes he could be ready to make that commitment in a few weeks.
