Guest NDFANINTEXAS
Inside LB from Roxbury, NJ 6-4/235/4.5 Also says he has a 4.3 GPA !
Ricochet
I don't remember seeing Beal but from the people I've talked to think he's pretty good and would be a great fit for ND's new 3-4 defense but that he's one for the future and wouldn't see much out of him for his 1st couple of seasons. NDFan3
Sorry its Brendan Beal by the way if someone can change the name of the thread. You're the only one that can do that... Beal has the ideal size and speed for a 3-4 OLB...he would be a major pick up for us. tOSU recently offered as well, so idk if this will be as easy a fight as we orginally thought, but with his grades in the NJ ties, hopefully he'll be Irish after this weekend?! irishziggy
this guy is really into us. look to see him pull the trigger b4 the season starts. he's really smart, so academics mean a lot to him and his family.
HeliND
Does anyone know what position he is being recruited? Is he an ILB or is he an OLB/DE? His sizes makes me think he is OLB/DE.
Guest irishrick
has charlie talked to this fella, has any coach chatted with him ? looks like he would be a good fit in coach browns plan .

Guest CanadianIrishFan
I wouldn't mind seeing Notre Dame offer a few more OLBs. Here is the breakdown I have: ILB's: Anthony McDonald (we lead) Steve Filer (we lead) David Posluszny (we lead) Andrew Sweat (I'd say its OSU 60%, ND 40%) Brandon Beal (have a pretty good shot) OLB's: Darius Fleming (we lead) Kapron Lewis Moore (pretty open right now) Shayne Hale (slim chance of landing) Arthur Brown (Not sure if he is ILB or OLB but we probably have zero chance of landing him anyway) I think we definitely get at least 3 very good ILBs to commit but outside of Fleming I am not confident we land anymore OLBs out of the ones we have offered so far. Guest robdog_5
I think Beal can play either, but in one interview he mentioned he was intrested in that DE/OLB position
foreverirish34
looks like were all right. He said that I probably had the ability to play the middle linebacker, run stopper spot or the outside strong linebacker, who can put his hand down and rush. patches12345
I think ND has a very good shot here because of the way he speaks of ND but at the same time he speaks very very highly of OSU, RU, and BC. His father, I believe, played at BC so it might be very hard to take him away from BC.

Guest NDEagles379
I think Brendan Beal is an OLB. He's 6'4" and apparently runs a 4.5 40, plus I think he weighs around 230 lbs (similar to Fleming). I'm pretty sure we're recruiting him there. So Filer, McDonald, and Poz or Sweat in the middle, with Fleming and Beal on the outside. That would be unreal. Soko
Middle LB in a 3-4 need to be big boys too. Poz doesn't strike me as an ILB just yet
