Did you know that notredamefans.com actually bought the domain names markmaysucks.com and johnsaunderssucks.com, I think thats pretty funny.

Ahahahahah! lovemyfriends

Can you believe that Mark May of ESPN told Lou Holtz that the USC 34-31 victory over Notre Dame Saturday was not the best game of the day, but WVU's 46 - 44 three overtime victory over Louisville was? Did you know that the Mountaineers are 6-1, are in sole possession of first place in the Big East and are now bowl eligible?

   :drunk: :drunk: :drunk:

If the Irish ever moved to a conference, I'd hope it would be the Big East.

Hmm Check back one of my open posts on Conferences. As a Notre Dame Independent we make well over $38,000,000. Next best Conference is SEC $35,000,000 Now remember in a Conference that figure is split between all members. So it pays for ND to be alone and Independent.

I included a list of others but can't recall Big East?? I don't think the bucks are there to join it. No real interest in their games.

forgive me, I just live in Big East country, it was just me being selfish. I know its all about the $, of which the Big East has very little. I just thought with all the associations the other sports (outside of football) has with the Big East, it would only seem appropriate.

Nope your fine. That was a pervious most likely future argument. Do we stay Independent and which conference.? Most lean to Big 10 they drool to have us. Heck we play them enough as it is. :D

Your 100% right ND is in Big East Basketball and every other ND sport is Big East now. We set up new contract to play them more with the understanding do not think we will join football wise. You will see us much much more now there. :D

As popular as Basket Ball is. The engine that pulls the entire Athletics dept at most schools is football. We fund everything fro bad B ball teams, swiming and fencing. So we will face more Big east teams.

Take even Pac 10 Conference. USC can pack people into their stadium. Washington and Ty is a loser plus tiny stadium. Yet USC must spilt their money with all 10 including Washington. Washington can't draw crowds.

I Mentioned per Conference member ND makes that 38,000,00o lead.

Per TEAM Texas makes the most money more then ND and we come in about???6th. But again we keep ours Texas has to split it with tiny venues so.......

Ohio state seating 100,000 should be rich yet are not cause it's split with the other 9, Northwestern etc.

It is an in voooolved subject easier said then done. We have an exclusive NBC contract till 2011 2012. Ours not a conferences. :D

But do say if horrors of horror ever happens and we are not Independent then I do think most logical would be Big East where all other ND sports are. :D

I couldn't find the link for you with exact figures I went 12 deep pages into archives here. Do recall post Nortre Dames White agreeing to more Big East on our schedule for football with understanding we intend not to join.

You had a great question and desire I understand :D

lovemyfriend you raised a great issue. I posted the Conference money . I could not find AD White's article on playing more big East teams.

My goof at the time was now that you brought that up... we will play more Big East according to ADWihte. I did NOT think of OK if we play say 2 Big East just who is coming off our schedule?

Personally drop one of the Big 10 and one Pac 10 for me. :D

But super reminder. Just who comes off when ND does this?

Thank you :)

If the Irish ever moved to a conference, I'd hope it would be the Big East.

Id rather be in the Big 10, big east is slowly trickling down to a mid major now and if we went our SOS would drop so bad it wouldnt even be funny... Now Big 10? That would be a challenge... I mean think about it... Mich, Mich St and Purdue would all probobly be every year locks because of rivalry which leaves wisc, osu, psu, minn, nw, ill, iu and iowa to all rotate plus usc should still be a lock.. imagine how fun (even though itd be a schedule from hell) it would be for something like

Mich

Mich St

Purdue

OSU

Penn St

Ill

Ind

Wisc

BC

Tenn

USC

Damn that would be nuts!

But I gotta say, I dont mind being a independant school
