Big strong and a force here in the Cincinnati area. http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=341&p=8&c=1&nid=2731238 Not on the radar yet, but will do very well in the Greater Catholic League in Cincinnati. Not for ND, too many backs right now and Defense is our concern. http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=109&p=8&c=1&nid=2529633 Notre Dame- “They have a really nice campus. They are one of the main schools that I am really considering.†I know he is an OL, but A must get for next year. Ndukwe and Quinns school. http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=109&p=8&c=1&nid=2683774 We all have heard of Jacob. His early favorites in no particular order are Notre Dame, Ohio State, Michigan, Iowa, Clemson and Tennessee. His GPA is 3.5. Good hands and same school as above. Mike Spooner, a 6-foot-2, 220-pound middle linebacker from St. Edward High in Lakewood, Ohio is one of the more talked about linebackers in the Northeast part of the state. Not offered yet, but expect it soon. will need to beat out OSU as always in that part of the state. http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=109&p=8&c=1&nid=2428361Brandon Beachum currently bench presses 320 pounds, squats 540, power cleans 240 and has a 31-inch vertical jump. He carries a 3.2 grade point average and has already scored a 19 (ACT). No offer yet, but another Plan B type guy like Smith this year, that can play. Michael Zordich, son of philly safety. just offered by LSU and will probably get an offer from ND soon. big, fast and strong. 6'2" and 210 as a junior will probably be in the 230 range. Dan McCarthy has already received an offer from OSU and ND should follow. Like Harrison Smith in style of play. 6' 180 right now will be in the 200 range. classmate of beachum and zordich. OSU will have the early lead with all these guys, but ND can get one or two.

NDFan3
Mike Adams is not coming to ND. Ohio St lock Ya, unfortunately he's got tOSU as his leader. Hopefully CW can convince him otherwise... Maybe we can just have BQ, another Coffman grad give him a call. I heard that's a popular recruiting tactic these days...cough, USC, cough... Guest iRiShMaN
i wouldn't consider him a lock at OSU. he will see a much improved team on defense and Charlie can always get the OL to come up. I think the new rules are that Quinn can call while he is in the room. if somebody puts it on speaker, then that is not a violation. Is it? maybe Bush can call him. seems like he and SC don't get in any trouble for anything.

ColinKSU
Zordich and McCarthy aren't Ohio State leans, bud. Trust me. Zordich and McCarthy are Penn State leans, if anything.

IrishLeopard
id be completely shocked if mccarthy was a penn st lean......his family is ALL Notre Dame, and if we offer, id be surprised if he didnt select us
Guest SirJohn
Leopard, OK then based on this DD slides him to the ND commit side?
IrishLeopard
Like i said, id be very surprised if he chose any school over Notre Dame, but i guess stranger things have happened
2lakes
Stranger things indeed. And speaking of Ohio State and THE OSU, they really didn't do that well in-state this year, did they? Actually, they didn't do that well recruiting-wise, at all, especially if you consider the fact that they were in the spotlight all year long. ColinKSU
id be completely shocked if mccarthy was a penn st lean......his family is ALL Notre Dame, and if we offer, id be surprised if he didnt select us I know his family is all ND. I went to school with his brothers Brian and Kyle and my cousin went from Kindergarten through Senior year at Cardinal Mooney with Kyle. He's really close with him still. But he and Zordich are best friends. Zordich's father is a Penn State legacy, and if they offer him...He's gone. Kyle would love to play in college with Mike as well, so he'd STRONGLY consider Penn State if they offered. ND will only take one S this year, so they have to be careful about who they offer. They might not extend Danny an offer, and like I said, I know Kyle. There are some things with ND's staff that I'm not going to go into because it's personal, but I wouldn't be surprised if Danny isn't 100% extatic about Notre Dame. I don't know a lot about nation-wide prospects, but I know the Mooney kids. That's my alma mater and I'm still in the area. I'd be glad to offer any other stuff I hear if it'd be cool with the board. Guest SirJohn
OK? Umm Ok slide him into an DD committed to ND?? Trying to get consensus of the board here.
Guest gallup21
Colin, thanks for the info. Any info is appreciated here, so great job on finding out that stuff!
Guest robdog_5
zordich is a PSU guy if all things are equal, but the story on McCarthy from a good source is ND-1 and OSU a close second with everyone else outside right now. The problem is ND has not offered and probably will not do so for a while meaning the OSU would have given the "love" for alot longer then ND and could pass them up. irishziggy
how many guys from Ohio have we offered? I know the Dublin duo is high on our list. Id love to have them as a pipeline.
Guest iRiShMaN
When John Carlson leaves the Notre Dame program at the end of the 2007 season, the Irish coaching staff wants to add a player in the mold of Carlson; a player that can block top defensive ends and on the next play beat a safety downfield. If there is that type of tight end in this recruiting class, it is likely Kyle Rudolph of Elder High School (Cincinnati, Ohio). “Notre Dame told me that they wanted me to come up for spring practice, that way I’d be able to get to know some of the players. I feel that after I do that, it will be easier to make my decision. We have all been speculating. No way this kid is not Irish. He dominates on the BB court also. Elder is in the news alot down here.
