:) OK I am posting here again. You guys are the experts. I wait till we have them and read remarks and news.

Now here is a serious question to serious recruiting followers.

Reading news I just posted ND hit about #3 in country so far in quality kids. (Understand?) This is meaning to me looking at it Nice Coast to Coast school, we need you, program on the rise, you can play early at ND.

Now.. I looked at USC. They are not even mentioned as recruiting well 2005.

This means a downturn recruiting quality for USC. Among reasons to me is they ruled the roost recruiting going up. Now they are over stocked with "stars" any kid coming in to USC now knows most likely he will sit 3 years.

Looking ahead. ND is getting the best now. Hit that same maybe 3 year mark does a recruit start thinking, I dont want to go to ND cause they are stocked and I'd have more playing time someplace else.???????

I know it's 3 years or so. How does a program keep the quality coming when stocked?

Asking that question to you guys.

Well most recruits want to mak it to the NFL. If your program or coaches can teach them and put them in the best position to get to the next level then they will keep coming to a program. Also it helps if recruits see other freshman getting a shot to play.

Champion. Dunno facts a falling off atter 3-4 years. I tink it's coach/recruiters in those 3 years jump ship and generally take those early kid connections with them. Weis has replacements if a Coach goe I know.. Reecruiting? Still take time but pattern wise I aways see falling off recruits that 3-4 line. Just a hint of a future worry we do not have NOW 2005.

Champ Look below rocco.. been waiting for you to to welcome him/her new member. :D I get your times on line now :D

I think that your right that coaches jump ship if you are succesful. It may be tought to replenissh those types of coaches but it surely is a big factor in recruiting. I think you may experience some up and downs in recruiting, but if you look at Michigans recruiting last year they were top3 and Carr has been coaching there a while as well(same with Bowden from FSU).

If you establish certain pipelines to states and certain highschools in that state then recruiting will be much easier and last longer. like I said earlier these kids want to make it to the NFL,so if you have a system that lets them shine then you have a better chance at lading top notch prospects wheither on offense or defense.

I agree Champion. 'JUMP SHIP WAS A BAD CHOISE OF WORDS BY ME." I mean Mike Haywood, God Bless him came from Texas and if you read about him, he wants to be a Head coach. His texas coach told him to go to ND and learn more under Coach Weis. I read agin Minter would like to be an HC again. Course Baby Polian.

I have no problem that with futre success .. some want to leave let's call it 3-4 years. That is their right. Coach Weis has replacements for them (Cutcliffe-Vaas).

I do mean at that 3-4 marrk a drop in recruiting is noticed.. Talent...#1 might be the coach that's been recruiting you 2 years and close now left to HC some other school. So...He's been my friend I follow him there not ND. Cause really if say line Coach left schmoozing you 2 years you suddenly have a 'new coach ire on the phone to woo you.. That's that drop off USC got after Chow etc.

How do you keep continuity? I can only think reading a news account Coach Weis does NOT let one coach run a guy but 'butts' in to let him know what the situation is.

most good programs lose alot of the coaches. There's a reason, it starts with Charlie. And don't worry. Charlie with replace them with good coaches. In the meantime let's hope it takes some time before they move on.

USC is in a hot bed of talent and do not have to put as much effort into recruiting that Charlie has to. Charlie has made more plane flights than Pete, without knowing the facts about Pete (I promise you).

I think the depth charts scare off some, but most teams carry over 75 scholarship guys now??.. Winning National Titles consecutively can not hurt your recruiting severely. USC will have a top class in recruiting.
