Guest gallup21
guys....sean and I are going to be doing a top 25 ND recruits for my blog, which sean is now going to help me with http://www.recruitsni.blogspot.com . We were wondering you guys' thoughts on what ND's top 25 should be at these positions. we have 0 QB 4 OL 3 WR 2 TE 2 RB 3 DT 2 DE 4 LB 3 CB 2 S which totals out to 25 so its a round #. Also, include your top 10 backup plans (not for each position just overall.) which can include athletes, ST, and K/P if need be. We'll credit DD with helping us in deciding on the site. We'll end taking requests on Next Thursday Feb 15th. Thanks, Nick and Sean
ManCrush
Do you really think ND is going after 3 S? (Not trying to sound like a prick)
Guest gallup21
thats just a # that we thought would be around right. And we also wanted a round number (like we didnt want to say "Top 24" or something like that.) But we understand your reasoning. Ill ask sean and see if we'll change it to 2 safeties and 2 TE
Junkhead
Maybe 3 DE's and 1 TE, instead of 2 and 2. Looks just about right though. You have 3 DTs and 2 DEs, which is weird when 3-4 has been mentioned so much.
Guest gallup21
i think ill leave it (im to lazy to go back and edit again haha) but if you guys want to add 3 DE and 1 TE than you can, and we'll just work it out someway.
GoIrish24
Yeah, true, but we need to get one stud DT.
Shakko
I don't think that we'll see a full class of 25. I think that you will see a class of 20-21. You can't go through too many 25 person classes and also give out 5th years and also give walk-ons the chance of a scholarship.
Guest shark83
IMO, we'll take 20 next year. Here's my breakdown QB-0 RB-1 WR-3 TE-1 OL-3 DE-2 DT-4 LB-4 CB-1 S-

Not how many therell be in the class, just work with us here haha Ohh, gotcha Nick QB- RB-Jason Ford WR-Michael Floyd, Brandon Green, Wes Kemp TE-Kyle Rudolph OL-Braxton Cave, Michael Golic Jr., Rocko Khoury DE-Darius Fleming DT-Hafis Williams, Jarrel Lowrey, Sean Cwynar LB-Steven Filer, Brandon Beal, David Posluzny, Jon Major CB-Jarred Holley, Marcel Rose S-Dan McCarthy
chirodomer
I like a DT from Fishers! His name EL Nacho Libre Dominguez!

Guest Champion10
RB-Ryan Williams, Jason Ford WR-Michael Floyd, Brandon Green TE-Kyle Rudolph, OL-Brcye Givens,Mike Golic, Braxton Cave DL-Sean Cwyner, Jarel Lowery, Ethan Johnson, Darius Fleming LB-Steve Filer, Eric LeGrand, David Posluszny, Marcus Witherspoon CB-Jarred Holley, Johnny Adams S-Will Hill to go along with these guys we get another receiver or TE(dont know who that would be... could be Ayles, Kemp, Buckner, Tate, A.J. Green, or D.J. Coles) and another Bigtime O-Line(Long, Adams, Robinson, Jenkins, Sanders Harmon) and another D-Line man(Thompson, McGee, Gillespie)
ManCrush
I'll bite QB - OL- Trevor Robinson, Joe Semple, Mike Golic, Stephen Good RB - Jonas Gray, Jason Ford WR - Michael Floyd, Wes Kemp, Brandon Green TE- Jake Stoneburner, Kyle Randolph DT-Sean Cwynar, Braxton Cave DE-Darius Fleming, LB-Steve Filer, David Posluszny, Brett Nagel, Eric Legrand CB-Jarred Holley, S- Kris Johnston, Daniel McCarthy I came up with 21 pretty realistic guys. The only stretch I can see is Good and Randolph(and we are pretty high with both of them). With the LB's you could also add Jon Major, Aurthur Brown, Nolan Brewster (we had a better chance if his dad didn't go to Minnesota) I would love to see ND pull Robinson out of Nebraska. I know that ND will go after more DL but I don't know that much about any other ones besides Ethan Johnson.(I don't know his interest in ND as of right now). I also don't know anymore CB's. Guest robdog_5
is this for next year? if so here goes my shot RB-Ryan Williams (7) and Jason Ford (24) WR- Michael FLoyd(6), Dan Buckner (15), and Jonthan Baldwin (22) TE- Blake Ayles(12) and Kyle Rudolph (20) OL-Kyle Long(3), Michael Brewster(14), Stephen Good (17), and Trevor Robinson (11) DT- Brandon Washington(5), Sean Cwynar (8)and Hafis Williams (18) DE- Ethan Johnson (10), and Darius Fleming (20) LB-Steve Filer(1), Jon Major(9), Arthur Brown(4), David Poz(16) CB- Jared Holley (13), Johnny Adams (19), Lamar Harris (23) S- Will Hill(2) and Ian McCarthy(21) For 25 I like names like OL/DL Braxton Cave, and C/DL Mike Golic of all these guys I don't think we will get all of them but this is my top 25 based on Talent, Need and last of all who I think we can get. Buckner looks like he is leaning to Texas, Ayles although he hasn't said anything I think USC is going to be hard to beat when you consider his HS teamates this year are going to SC and USC is close by. Washington might be hard to get out of Miami but he seems to be open. Other then that I think there is a shot at all of them wether it be good or ok
Ricochet
Well Coach Weis has already told the TE prospects that he's taking 2 in this recruiting class and it's understood that his top 2 targets are Blake Ayles and Kyle Rudolph. I also think that ND won't take a QB just to take a QB but if they can get somebody that they want they will take them. QB depth could easily be hurting especially if Clausen wins the starting job and does well. IMO if Sharpley doesn't win the starting job this season then it will be his last. I think he would stick around for the season but he would give it up to put all his effort towards baseball for his senior season. There is also a good chance that there will be transfers because if like I said Clausen wins the job and performs very well as a freshman Frazer and Jones will know that there won't be playing time for them unless he gets injured. irishziggy
i look for him to get stoneburner and reuland too. they might categorize as TE/WR's
Ricochet
I don't know enough on the young Reuland for me to comment and IMO from what I've hear or read is that Stoneburner is the next most likely target especially if ND can't get Blake Ayles away from USC.
