I'm sure they will throw the book at him!

And U$C will lose the 04 NC!!!!!!!!

Wishful thinking, we all Know nothing will happen.

We can hope, can't we.

tdnd is correct...nothing...nothing will happen, it's a turned page gone... now if you want to discuss weis suing some poor doctor, well of course    let's run with that front page

this is really to bad , here is an outstanding young football player who is/was corrupted and very greedy, iam sure he didn't do this himself, also i feel that SC people had to know something and this should have been known in 04 and so forth, who drives around in a very expensive car and lives in an very expensive home, red flags every where, all i can say is the young fella that was sent home from ND maybe he will learn from this also what goes around comes around, i really hope that he reapplies to come back to ND, ND gave him a pretty

harsh suspension, but a deserving one , remember there was more than a few people involved and WE don't know the TOTAL ABOUT THIS CASE, SORRY TO RAMBLE ON LIKE THIS but here is a case where ND is setting a good example . I just hope that the kid re applies and is accepted back . go irish bush pay the monies back as you are a cheater.

id love for this to come down heavy on USC, make them pay!

take away wins, take away the 1 national championship they had, and take away scholarships! :D

wouldn't they take away the 2003 NC when they were co-champs with LSU along with the '04 NC. i would love to see them get handed the death penalty the way alabama did in the 90s.

it was 03 when LSU won the national championship right? and USC was the AP champion?

can the NCAA do anything with the AP rankings? really cant the AP rankings name anyone champion cheaters or not? or the NCAA takes way the national championship, but its the AP that would take away the AP championship?

personally i dont count USC as champions when LSU won the national championship game. the AP doesnt mean anything to me since the BCS came to be.. the AP naming a champion is like ESPN naming their own champion, its a paper champion, its nothing

I don't really care if they take the wins out of the record book, but I would like to see this blow up in the poodle's face though. I would like for it to come out that carroll knew this was going on. Stories like this make me glad I'm a Notre Dame fan.

On ESPN2 today some guys were talking that they think Bush will lose the Hiesman and USC will probably get in some trouble. The dollar amount involved is not a free dinner, but over $200,000. I hope they are right about USC getting in trouble! I guess now that the tapes are involved between Bush and/or Bush's family and the agent, the NCAA should have the proof they need.

I don't know the details of either case, but isn't this very similar to the Chris Webber situation at Michigan in the 90's. Michigan basically had to erase 2 seasons from their media guide I believe. No national championships were involved but they lost mention of the final fours. They also lost significant scholarships. Again, I don't know all the details but these seem quite similar from what I do know.

They also lost a year or two for Robert "tractor" Traylor getting a free car. They forfieted a NIT championship. As for SC first NC, all the evidence I saw occurred after that year. It looks like it would only affect '04 and '05.

nah nothing will happen to the golden boy, the poodle will get a raise and get a reprimand for not taking out the trash bush will get a movie deal and it all will be forgotten, just plain crap NCAA should get involved in this and crack down hard. go irish

It shouldn't be tough for SC to erase a couple of seasons... They have pretty good practice at revisionist history, leaving out the UCLA game this year and having shirts made that say 2003, 2004, 2005 Natl Champions. When I was in LA, they would seriously have you believe they beat Texas. It was sooo arrogant!

Reggie Bush was fined $5,000 by the NFL for taunting during his 88-yard touchdown reception in New Orleans' NFC championship game loss at Chicago last week.

Although the rookie running was not penalized for pointing back at Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher or for somersaulting into the end zone, he subsequently received the league's standard punishment for taunting. :)
