ND fans, this guy is a BEAST. Truly a top level prospect. ND is hard after him early. He would really answer your questions at the LB position. It will be tough to get him out of Florida, but you guys landed Young and Allen the last 2 years.

On a side note, do you know anything about Maurice Crum Jr.'s cousin, Marcel Rose?

Shark....using my deciphering skills....does that mean Florida State Lock?

Nice job, Nick!

I have not heard of him yet. I will keep my eyes and ears open though. Information on the 2008 class will come out starting now and really pick up after signing day.

I don't know if Nigel is a Nole lock either. I wouldn't be surprised to see him at Florida. I know he LOVED his visit there 2 weeks ago. Meyer called him up and let him hold on to the BCS football trophy. He had a great time. He will keep things open and ND can offer him early PT.

Sunshine, can you provide us with a link to his Scout or Rivals profile?

Thanks Sunshine, appreciate your insight on DD.

Read a real nice article on the Florida Rivals site that was just posted 2day.

Do you know anything about T.J. Bryant, Eric Smith, Marcus Fortson, or Aldarius Johnson?

Here is what I know (little) on those players. All of those players elite-level type of prospects.

-TJ Brant is a stud CB. Great combination of size and speed. Very fluid. Good possibility of him being a 5-star, but he is a bit skinny. He is from Lincoln and it seems like FSU gets any player from Lincoln they want.

-Eric Smith: Good big RB. I don't know as much about him as the others. I know he goes to the same school as Torrey Davis and he visited UF (where Torrey is commited) a few times with Davis. I heard somewhere that he is a Gator legacy, but I don't know for sure. My guess is that Smith is a Gator and Miami battle.

-Marcus Fortson: Kid is a STUD DT. Would not surprise me if he is a 5-star. He is from Miami Northwestern and I don't see ND pulling a kid from there. It may happen, but I think ND will have a hard time getting a kid from a school like that. My guess is Miami.

-Aldarius Johnson: Again, a Miami Northwestern kid. He is a good one at WR though. I love his toughness and body control, but I don't know that much about him. Again, I think the Northwestern kids head to Miami.

Now these are all early projections so nothing I say should be considered gospel. I would be a little surprised if ND landed any kid that you just mentioned though.

Thanks Sunshine. Yea, like you said, I don't see ND getting any of those studs either  .

I just checked out the Top 100 players in Florida that the Florida high school Rivals site put out and I believe Marcel Rose was #57.

What about D.C. Jefferson? I know a lot of people are high on him & think he should be the Number 1 Dual-Threat QB, however there's a kid from my state that might have a thing or 2 to say about that lol.

shark...you live near i think its landslade or landscale?

You thinking of Landsdale maybe?

yea....Jimmy Kelly's town

Landsdale is about 2 hours away from me.

When I was little, I remember one of the local high schools playing them in the playoffs, but other than that, can't say I know much about the area.

it's actually lansdale. jimmy kelly ia a safety from lansdale catholic. good ball player. big east schools are interested in him.......

jfsch, has ND offered him? i thought we had some interest, maybe it gave way?

dont think he has an offer. not sure he is fast enough. lansdale catholic plays pretty small schools. aa ball. not extremely difficult competition.....

I didn't know he's considered a F$U lock but I knew that ND had no chance with Nigel Bradham.

Sunshine is right. Northwestern kids go to Miami.

Next year sounds like it will be a pretty deep year at LB, which is obviously great news for us. We'll probably shoot for 4?? If CB can show an improved, aggressive defense and he recruits hard (which it appears he is already doing) I think that we will be much more successful in pulling a couple of these in state guys out.

I having Florida guys on our board. I wish we had insiders from other states too, it's great to get on the ground experience and feedback. Thanks guys
