Guys we have a little over 2 weeks and we don't have a clue who our next commit is going to be.I'm starting to get restless becuase it seems that everything is under wraps on the recruits.With the coaching change it seems that we haven't herd much on the recruiting scene except Cw flying around.Lets all dig deep and see if we can find out who will be the next few and I mean the next few recruits are going to be.Lets get pumped up guys.

i hope to god that our next recruit is either malcolm smith or hughes or maybe if we are gods favorite team, which is possible, that we can pull away a recruit that has already committed like lets say a Lorenzo Edwards!!!

If Paul Stefanik receives an offer then you can officially assume that Charlie has hit the panic button. This kid has no business receiving an offer, and please, for god's sake, none of this crap about "if he's good enough for Charlie, he's good enough for me." This kid didn't even get an offer from Cincinnati or Akron. He committed to Kent State. Let me repeat that . . . Kent State. He runs a 4.8 and is a 2-star LB. Charlie, what the hell are you thinking?

dont worry! charlie wont offer him, its not like we have a surplus of scholarships here! Charlie knows better than that!!! This is exactly the recruit that Ty would be going after!!!

i don't think that cw will select him he didn't make any ones top 100 list, Texas notre dame and Florida and south Carolina are the leaders with know commits, now with DC brown on board we might get one more of the undecided fellas.

as a guy who's wife graduated from kent st., saw kent st. alum lou holtz speak there in '91 and who currently LIVES in kent, let me say @!#$# you!!

 

in all seriousness, kent st. had only it's second non-losing season in 20 years last year. they're on their way up and are my second fav college football team...

Let me just shed a little positive light upon this kid. No, he is not highly recurited nor has a ton of stars next to his name.

 

However, I live in western PA. And the WPIAL is one of the best football conferences in the nation. I went to Jeannette which is a AA school and is the home of Tyrelle Prior (if you haven't heard of him, you will). Paul plays AAAA football, which is the cream of the crop around here. These kids can play, hit, and run...stars be damned.

 

Football is king around here and he may not be flashy, but I promise you he will be a work horse.

 

I put out a couple of feelers about the kid and I'll post whatever I hear.

Are you guys overreacting a little bit? Unless Shark83 you heard some solid recruiting news about Nick Wood or Paul Stefanik, I think we shouldn't hit the panic button on something which is just speculation.

 

Why I think it is so quiet is that pretty much everyone is committed with only a couple of weeks left to NSD. We may see a couple more names pop before NSD, but I think ND is moving onto the 2008 recruits.

Having only landed Williams, Paskorz, and Nagel in the Front 7 Recruiting and missing out a lot of our Plan A guys, do you just think CW is going to say, "Ah, no need to recruit any more DL or LB's, considering how thin we are at those spots?

Prior is a special athelete...Nobody has seen anything like him around here... I saw him at a BBall game last week and he may be more impressive one the court, if that's possible.

I agree man.

 

The longer JoePa stays @ PSU, the better it will be for us. And he isn't going anywhere anytime soon. PSU is defintely going to lose some of it's luster, as more and more 17-18 years old find it harder to relate to a coach that old.

 

As for Wanny, he seems to be a pretty good recruiter but good gameday coach definitely isn't on his resume. I'm not sure how much longer he will be given to produce @ Pitt.

First, I agree Shark we didn't get the guys you list. My point is why do you bring up Wood and Stefanik? Did we offer them?

 

We do need help on Defensive side of the ball, but it there anyone out there at this late moment we can grab or steal?
