Guest irish24notredame
Im not up to date with him. Do we have an ok shot, or we going to have to deal with what we have?
ManCrush
ND is in his top three; Cal, ND, USC. He was the dark horse in the class. But now he is a must get.
Guest domehead
tell ya what fellas.... Zibby moving to LB next season is looking better and better
NDFan3
LBs: T. Smith, M. Crum should be starting for sure. Then after that I'd say maybe Brockington gets a good shot at starting or TT if he's still playing LB. But I also think that the frosh we've got coming in have a good chance to see minutes. Guest irish24notredame
what about morrice richardson?
NDFan3
They could move him to LB, but who knows what the new defensive coordinator will decide to do...
rdrdreamer
Toryan Smith...
Ital-Irish
They could move him to LB, but who knows what the new defensive coordinator will decide to do... I like it, if you say it enough, it will happen
Guest irish24notredame
I think Toryan Smith will definately start. I just dont know how Nagel or Paskorz can contribute next year, if at all. I hope they will though. I know Greg Little was looking good at reciever this week, but they might have to switch him to OLB.
NDFan3
They could move him to LB, but who knows what the new defensive coordinator will decide to do... I like it, if you say it enough, it will happen I sure as hell hope so. I just don't see any possible way that CW couldn't fire him. He did nothing as a coach, and didn't do a whole lot for us on the recruiting front either....not to say that H. Smith and Tate aren't good, because I think that they will be studs. 2 years and no improvement...it's time to move on, because it's only going to get harder to bring in top D talent next year. Shakko
You can only get so many a year. If we get M. Smith, that will more than make up for Zo. It will be tough to "replace" Donald. Paskorz will need to step up.
rdrdreamer
Not wanting to place any un-needed pressure on Greg Little, but if he were to move to linebacker, this would truely give us a boost there. he was after all ranked higher than Lorenzo Edwards at one point, prior to being a wide out. Now, Golden Tate...same situation here. Wasn't he ranked as a corner? ESPN (premium Insider) notes that he has remarkable coverage skills. What I am trying to get at is that Malcom Smith and or Major Wright could be the eventual answer? Lets not rule out Will Blackwell, yes he is a defensive tackle, and we are discussing linebackers...but this all goes hand in hand? And these are just scenarios to support our talented returnees! If we look hard, and past the disapointment...there is light at the end of the tunnel...and it is not a runaway train! Maybe a train taking Minter away...but its not coming towards us? Guest aceinthehole94
I say SLB - Crum MLB - T. Smith WLB - Brockington/T Thomas/Richardson/Nagel (whoever wins it out).

2lakes
I think I read or heard that TT will be coming back as a running back. Makes sense: Coach Weis asked him to step in as a LB this year and may well reward him for his loyalty next year. I don't think he made great strides as a LB this year, anyway, despite giving the effort. Just too small and not enough experience. But I think he still has a great upside on the offense with his speed and versatility.
Ital-Irish
Yea, welcome ace, and I think you're right about that prediction
Guest irish24notredame
Yeah, I also read that Travis Thomas will return as a rb. I think getting Malcolm Smith could make up for LE. We will just have to wait and see.
SpecialFNK
i was thinking Greg Little could switch to LB next season. he likely wont be needed as a WR as a freshman? so he could play as a freshman at LB ..and then if he wanted could even switch back to WR as a sophmore or stay at LB. the WR's for next season would be who? Grimes, West, Hord, Gallup, Parris, and feshman Kamara, plus Tate aswell? ..so Little might not be needed at WR and instead could be a big help at LB?
