yeah i think he commits to UI today but thats fine ND is still in on m. smith, donald and edwards and all three are very high on ND.

Illinois all the way. I can't believe they've taken Benn and Martez Wilson away from us.

 

Personally, I think in a couple years we'll wish that we had pulled in Benn, but I don't think losing Martez will be that big of a deal.

yeah losing benn hurts specially for next year but i agree losing wilson isn't a big deal in my book.

I feel that in losing Wilson, it may have made us a little more appealing to M. Smith? IMO...Donald and Edwards would commit to the Irish regardless of who else would have committed, but now Malcom may see a level opportunity to compete for a linebacker position, based on returnees and commit's?

I feel that he will be going to UI but,there is always that hope that he comes to ND>CW said,he does have a couple of surprise recuits that no one knows about who willbe committing to ND.IMO Wilson isn't one of them but you never know.

youre right gwood, he wont be one of them. time for us to move on. weve got a lot to look forward to.

I have the feeling of Tez signing with ND...The simple fact that he is no longer having a joint press conference with the Illinois DT committ is a strong sign in our favor.

 

Furthermore, having lost out on Griffen, Dunlap and other premier DE's Tez may have just gotten his way with being able to play DE at Notre Dame where he will get the exposure he wants at the position he wants to play...

 

Some reports have had Tez battling with the ND staff about whether he would play DE or OLB...With ND beginning to recognize the lack of depth at DE...The coaches could have agreed to let him take a shot at DE... Bad news for Kerry Neal who is likely a step slow for OLB and outmatched at DE by Trattou and Tez.

The thought is that Josh Brent is unsure of where he is going between Illinois and Ohio St. Tez seems to be set on his choice, and them not committing at the same time seems to be because of Brent.

 

But...you never know. Maybe it was Tez that changed his mind.

In my ventures on other boards while DD was out, I read that it was Brent who is cooling on U of I, not Tez. There may be nothing to that and we'll all find out in a few hours, but just passing that along.

So noone has an exact time for Wilson's commit? What about a media source to hear or watch the commit? Go Irish!!!

that seems to be the word going around, i fully expect him to go to UI.

I just heard that Charlie did talk to Martez on the phone at length on Tuesday, and Demetrius Jones also talked to him this week.

 

If this is true, then I'm guessing they tried to persuade him. Let's hope it worked. I'm not holding my breath though.

over on irishenvy they are saying that Tez will announce at 6 pm.
