According to a new Rivals article he's announcing on the 20th at a local TV station. A few notes:

His mother said that distance was not an issue.

She said that all three teams are still in the mix, and that Everson often changes his mind.

In the last week their focus has been on the academic side of things.

All that said I still think SC has got this guy, but you never know with 18 year olds.

What about 'Tez? I heard both the 20th and 22nd for his annoucement.

Can anyone confirm what date he is announcing?

I can't wait for Santa to get here w/ that IrishIllustrated account  . I'll finally be able to fight the good fight w/ all the ND flamers on the Rivals national board.

Martez is scheduled for 20th as well. Though he should change the date now if he wants maximum attention, which he seems to. I suggest a kid named Martez announce on the the 19th since its a Tuesday.

Also, the rivals board is usually more of a headache than its worth. It's an uphill battle.

Thanks for the info, TD.

I am little confused by the posts regarding him rescheudling his in-visits. I didn't realize Illinois scheduled a visit. I like the fact we have the last visit on Friday, but I wouldn't be surprised if ND and Illinois are making phone calls over the weekend until the 20th when he announces.

A tip of the hand would be if Martez cancels that Friday visit with ND or changes his announcement plan/dates from Brent.

USC is definitely the favorite for Griffen but I think the tide has turned somewhat. ND is more of a challenge to USC than they used to be. This could be one that we shock the recruiting world on. I wouldn't bet on it but it is more favorable today than what it was.

CW is going to shake up the world!...the recruiting world. It hurt to lose Wilson and Tyler to USC, but if they lost Griffen to us than I think that would more than make up for the other two. Losing Griffen, although unlikely would be a huge kick in the nuts for Pete.
