Who's left?

Someone with more time and energy than I should take a look at who still has outstanding offers and post the list, along with how important they are to this class.

Thanks in advance.

PS - Let me be the first to nominate Donald to the top of that list.

11 'Ships Left, 14 offers out to uncommited/soft verbals:

RB: Robert Hughes

OT: Matt Romine, Chris Little, Matt Summers-Gavin, Taylor Dever

DL: Martez Wilson, Everson Griffen, Ben Martin, Will Blackwell, Jason Peters

LB: Chris Donald

CB: Michael Williams, Marcus Gilchrist (Soft verbal to Clemson; Will visit)

S: Harrison Smith, Lorenzo Edwards

ATH: Joe McKnight & Malcom Smith

If I had to pick the 11 most likely to come to ND, it would be: Hughes, Romine, Summers-Gavin, Little, Dever, Martin, Blackwell, Donald, H. Smith, Edwards and either Williams or Gilchrist.

McKnight keeps getting overlooked......I realize that the general consensus is LSU/USC but if McKnight is visiting ND in January, you never know.

You wouldn't think he'd go to South Bend in the middle of winter just for the free trip.

If he is coming, then ND has a shot.

IT's a wonderful thing. Just a month ago people we scared that ND might not get 20. Now it's looking like we might have to be pretty picky about who we let in. All ND need is to land atleat 4 of these 6 on defense (m.smith, wilson, donald, martin and blackwell, h.smith ) and we will be in great shap for the future. Blackwell, donald, wilson and or martin are must to me.

I hate to be the guy caught up with "star" ratings, but isn't every guy except Dever a 4 star or better? That would mean a class of 25 with only 5 3 star guys and the rest 4 stars or better??? That's remarkable if you think about it. Just take a look at what Willingham did and its literally night and day.

absolutely right weisforprez. also, most of the three stars weis picked up came on board early. they all are very likely under rated. also the LB's we picked up run 4.5's and are 220 lbs (perfect stats for the position). Nuss is a solid offensive lineman and a Jersey kid. and as for williams, i think our depth chart tells us just how much we need him. also, those who have seen his film say he is a definite stud. its hard not to be pleased with how this class is coming along.

Exactly. Great points Prez and Frosh. Almost all 4 star players. That is night and day above Ty's classes and definitely a step up from last year even. And the 3 star guys could easily be 4 stars. I trust Charlie's eye.

There is no way this won't be a top 5 class.

But in terms of need, I. Williams is huge, and we really need Blackwell. And of course Donald is #1. M. Smith or Zo Edwards at OLB would be great, and Tez and Martin would be amazing pickups. We need to stack the players on defense.

The need is on the DL and LB's.
