So Ian Williams is announcing tomorrow after his ND visit this weekend. Apparently it is between us and Auburn, since Florida made him wait and didn't stay in contact.

Is this a done deal for us? TD, Broke, what are you hearing? Are the Rivals and Scout guys saying anything? On the surface he looks Irish.

We need a DT bad, and he is a good one according to his videos.

Kid takes an unofficial visit w/ a whole bunch of family members.

Then he goes on to set his announcement for only a few days later.

Where do you think he's going?

FWIW, Auburn's current depth chart for DT.

97 Josh Thompson | 6-0, 295, Jr., 2V

99 Tez Doolittle | 6-3, 292, Jr., 2V

96 Greg Smith | 6-1, 340, Jr., JC

93 Mike Blanc | 6-4, 274, Fr., HS

94 Sen'Derrick Marks | 6-1, 287, Fr., RS

95 Pat Sims | 6-4, 304, So., 1V

91 Jermarcus Ricks | 6-4, 294, Fr., HS

53 Bart Eddins | 6-4, 275, Fr., HS

As shark inferred, he's ours.

We've got a busy couple of weeks coming up I bet.

Is there really a guy named Tez Doolittle on there team?

I strongly think he is Irish but this won't be done until NSD because if Florida ever wants to get back into the race he would probably welcome them with open arms since they have always been his #1.

They are treating him like a red headed step child. He's getting no love at all, and if I were him I would tell them to screw off just for spite if they came calling again.

What time is his announcement tomorrow?

I have to agree Broke.

Even if how they treated him was not the way they should have, he really favors FL I think and wants to go there. If he can't then he'll come here.

I could be wrong, I have been plenty of times.

I hope he commits to us and stays but will not be shocked to see him go. hopefully I'm wrong

if McCray does announce and doesn't pick florida then watch out FL may come back after Williams

That would really suck...but it would just be another reason to add to the already long list of why I hate Florida and Urban Meyer.

Yeah, apparently McCray is down to Illinois and FSU. I really hope Florida doesn't go after Williams then. If he postpones his announcement, it might be a sign of that. Or I guess he could pick Florida tomorrow if he hears from Meyer and co. I hope he liked ND enough to realize he would be making a great decision by coming to us. We probably have his family's vote.

the kid wants to go to FL end of story

ND would be no better than a second choice and even thats debatable because Auburn may have told him they didnt have a schollie for him either which would likely make us third

while ill be happy if he announces dont get your hopes up too much, there should be some stress until signing day on him

Wow thats too bad, so even if we get him Florida can yank him away at any time if they want. Do I have that right? That's too bad.

Blackwell and Peters are more important that ever.

If Williams still announces after hearing this news, I am much more comfortable that his verbal doesn't change. Why would he announce if he thought that there was still a chance that he could go to Florida.

I think that CW gives players all the time that they want to make a decision, but once you have made a decision he expects you to follow through (just a theory of mine).

Both of those points lead me to the conclusion (ala Gray) that the decision will be final.

We just have to hope Florida lands 1 or 2 more stud DT's.

What's taking John Brown so long? They practically have everyone of his teammates commited to them already.
