I see in 'closed Irish eyes Wenger is scheduling visits. Who is this guy? I can't find him listed as offered by ND? From Florida I know that's it. # is 50 husky kid.

He is a center from Florida and at the monet appears to be a UF lean, but the Irish are in there. he is also a team mate of Sam Young(so if we were to get either one it would help with the other)

here is his bio page on rivals

Ohh Nice champ. :D We need a center. Looks good hope he comes with us.

back to the subject, I think that ND is going to have a great haul at the O line position with guys like :Sam Young, Daniel Wegner, Daron Rose, Chris Stewart, Aaron Brown and Matt Carufel all showing interest in ND.

Very true. Was it Broker and Irish3? (Sorry if I got it wrong) about the kicker. That's a position we will not have next year so badly needed.

You get into the line now just recently Morton is questionable at center. I think we have one more guy. Now that's NOT a skill position but already Jeff bobbled a couple snaps in a game.

The Center makes it all go and start. Ball exactly so on demand turned with lace exactly so. Sounds unimportant but try to get a smooth flow if it's not so. Rhythm of the game.

It does not say if the center is short or long snapper. In general if you have a two way guy sooner or latter a ball is sailing over a punters head and your dead.

I know we need OL and DL (guards) if we get a center we would need another snapper coming in or developing one with what we have. Not nit picking short or long snappers, Coach already said he wanted this freshmen kid coming in just for kicks and not punts.

Concentrate on one aspect of the game and reduce errors.

I'm only into what you recruiters post. I do see so many posts drooling over DBs, runners and Quarter backs we get. That's to be expected. We need DBs bad. But we do have to replace graduating line. None of those are creating excited posts.

Excitement is someone like Zach Frazer next year. If he has no line kiss it all goodbye right away. I am always interested in who is in the trenches sucking mud both sides of the ball. Our running back is learning not to zig zag but wait for the line to set up some blocks so he can produce more.

I know from experience that the center position is one of the most important position in the game. You are dead on that it affects the rhythm of the game. he would be a huge get.

Then I want him for us...Join. :D No one said but think he's a short snapper if so sought out? His build looks like he could take the punishment. Footwork to move left or right if no one faces him to block on a play or drop back to protect Brady

I love the line play cameras don't really hang on that. In general the old clue I was raised on was if guards, etc go forwards it's a run, if back up, standing a pass play. I had to toss all that out with Coach Weis :D Then I know they are pilliard on a holding penalty. It's debateable with the person.

Get into the head of a linemen:

I know I'm losing containing this rusher that can break up the play or hurt Brady..can I hold and get away with it get a flag and look bad on film no matter what I do after the game. You have to make a snap decision right there. Knowing the next day at a presser the coach will say penatlies killed us. You have to walk back saying 'he beat me so I had to hold' to contain the damage. That's not fun.

Those are trench battles I love to watch. Don't get me wrong a 40 yard pass for a TD is super. :D

Ya I think he is a short snapper(every down guy).

:D Great then. Mendoza and 4 years. Whooooooooo. October 15? Again looks like we got more coming to this game to watch then we can possibly take unless early enrollments? 4 of 5 stars from your post above.I assume if we offered GPA is good and he would be kinda dumb not to want the ND 50 year family and degree.

A point in his favor is to be any center that stands out in HS ball. That's usual a nudnik HS place to be. The FLA part bothers me vs South Bend Weather but Iannelo can charm. I think he can see he can come in develop and be one of Weis 'play today' guys and not bench sit.

Seen the posts about "Is Weis sending message to recruites they can come in play now?" As he said "No rebuilding" He's doing plug and play. Show some effort and your on the field all we want is wins and team.

I believe Daniel would play right away, I dont know if he can do that at UF.
