Change of pace from some of the Sugar Bowl and recruiting talk.

What NFL team would you like Brady to play for? Being realistic, the teams with a chance for a top pick to get a shot at Brady:

Detroit

Oakland

Tampa Bay

Arizona

Cleveland

Houston

Washington

Green Bay

Arizona and Washington have used recent first rounders on a QB, so I doubt they take Brady .. and Carr is still young, so Houston would look at one of the RBs (Peterson).

Honestly, I would hate for Brady to go to Oakland. It would be really hard to still hate the Raiders if they had Brady.

I'd only like to see Brady play for Detroit, Cleveland or (unlikely) Minnesota to get a chance to get Brady and lose the rest of their games.

Well .. maybe not really Detroit .. QBs seem to get lost in that abyss of an organization ..

The Denver Post is reporting that the Carolina Panthers are considering putting together a package to move up and take Quinn because they are fed up with Jake Delhomme.

I'm not sure if they could do that without essentially tanking the rest of their draft--with players and picks from future drafts to boot. Suffice to say, a trade-up of that magnitude would be nothing short of Ditka-esque.

Don't get me wrong, it would be more than ideal for Quinn to go there. Realistically, I doubt it will happen, though.

I THINK AND HOPE ITS THE PACKERS, I DON'T THINK BRADY WANTS TO PLAY IN CLEVELAND. TO CLOSE TO HOME, MAYBE THE COWBOYS

The Panthers really would be a good fit - Steve Smith and Keyshawn provide some good targets. Williams is a good runner. Their package would have to be really crazy .. maybe they can offer Foster and their first or second pick for it?

I still would like him in Cleveland BECAUSE it is close to home and he'd bring that franchise back up to where it needs to be. They've got Ruben to run and some weapons on offense too and I believe in Romeo.

I guess, if I'd rank it:

1) Carolina - instant success

2) Cleveland - great story

3) Minnesota - I think he'd do good things there .. but it's a long shot

4) Green Bay - but they just got Rodgers .. so it won't happen

5) Detroit - I know they are a snakebitten franchise, but he would be in the Midwest still and he coul hopefully use their weapons well

200) Raiders - I can't root for him on that team!

Panthers next Brady bunch?

Carolina: Don't be surprised if the Panthers try to do something dramatic in the draft, like putting together a package to move up and take Notre Dame quarterback Brady Quinn with the No. 1 pick.

The Panthers are well-equipped nearly everywhere but at quarterback. The team is running out of patience with Jake Delhomme, whose days as an effective quarterback may be numbered. With Chris Weinke as Delhomme's replacement option, nothing is going to happen now. But the Panthers may get aggressive in the offseason. Getting a potential franchise player such as Quinn could make Carolina a contender for the long haul.

Very good point SJ. I am really rooting for this now, not only to help Brady out, but so that I can latch on to a team other than the Lions (my childhood curse).

Depends on who the team is. If it's then Lions, maybe Mike Rucker or Kris Jenkins plus their first and/or second pick.

I honestly just threw Rucker out there. Does he still play in Carolina? Last time I checked Madden he did ... I think.

I'm kinda hoping for Tampa Bay - if Brady is the projected #1, he should pull and Elway and say what teams he will NOT go to . . . that might make it interesting. He would be sad in Oakland or Detroit with NO supporting cast - as maligned as his current supporting cast is (at least in the press) those teams need to rebuild EVERYTHING . . . much like the Cavs wanted "homer" LaBron, perhaps Cleveland will want him or Troy. I also think Tampa Bay is one of, if not THE most needy - but a lot of their woes have to do with poor coaching IMO and other issues . . .

I have a question for you all!

Would you be a fan of the team that Brady goes to?

To be honest, I grew up a Bears fan my whole life. Because I've lived out west for 14 years now, I fell off and don't really watch NFL anymore. Brady Quinn could very well be the reason I start watching NFL again and to be honest I may very well abandon my attachment to the Bears if the kid lands a career with the right staff. I'm not saying I'll become a Lions fan or something similar. There are boundries and to be honest, becoming a Lion (or similar) would ruin his career. Certain franchises are just horrible and should be fined for ruining great players. Could you imagine if Joe Montana, Steve Young, etc were kept in a system like the Lions right now? ewww....

Carolina Panthers, hmmm...I can see Brady in a Panthers Jersey... :) I'd rather him replace Rex though!

Even better, Get rid of Alex Smith and Put Brady in a Niner's Jersey, or maybe hook him up with Fasano and Julius at Dallas. I can handle those scenarios....i can't handle Oakville or Detwoit.

Yes, in fact chances are I will adopt Brady's new team as my own since I am currently a Detroit Lions fan. I'm looking for an out.

Detroit's new system (on offense) is fine. Martz is a great coach, and working with CW should have really paid off for Brady if he becomes a Lion.

I hope you're right, but I think the Lions are cursed.

They need to fire Millen and the Fords need to sell the team. It is sad how one family can screw up two companies and help ruin a city. But Brady could do well with Martz and that offense. If he goes there hopefully he can sit one year behind Kitna like the Bengals did with Palmer.
