Good day today folks. Not a verbal, but man I like what we are doing in Florida. Allen is a huge get for ND. He might be friends with Edwards? Yep.

Who's verbing???

Charlie had an in-home visit this week, and it sounds like it went great. Chances with this guy look very strong. He doesn't even mind going to Rome for a year b/c of architecture. It would be used as a redshirt year.

will reashon mcneil use that year as a redshirt too?

Interesting....

Do you have to go to Rome if you're in ND's architecture program?

yeah you do. It's your junior year but guys believe me at ND you HAVE to choose between football and architecture. I have a couple friends that are arky's actually in their required 5th year right now. There are weeks at a time when they'll disappear and pull all nighters to finish projects.

It just can't coexist with football in the fall. Freshman year it can be done, but I'd be shocked if McNeil and/or Edwards if we get him stay with architecture into their sophomore years.

Our program is excellent which will appeal to guys who want to major in it, but i feel bad considering they are attracted to ND for that reason but can't possibly do it. Just ask Joey Hiben.

Nice, Zo Edwards is looking good then according to IE. It will be really tough for him to do architecture and football, but that's what he wants. Architecture at other schools is probably just as time-consuming as at ND, or at least close to it. Rome would be amazing, but he better stay in super shape while he's there if he wants to have a starting spot.

spend a year away from lifting weights and conditioning would really hurt him.

hate to be a skeptic and a know it all but its not goign to happen.

At my school (not ND), it was just as time consuming. Rather notorious, even compared to engineering.

If CW can work out the schedules, however, it seems to me that this would be a competitive advantage for ND. If the Rome year has already been worked out and is fine with CW, then working out the rest of the schedule would seem worthwhile on a marginal effort basis.

Welcome to DD Met :D

Thanks, Sir John!

They have weights and fields in Rome too

I don't buy that one bit...sorry to disagree, but Jabari Holloway was a chemical engineer and still played football. I had plenty of Archi friends, too, and I would have to say that both are just as time consuming. You have to remember, too, that these guys have 4/5 summers to work with. Plus, they have the spring. They can make it work.

you know what they say "when in rome".... :D
