2007 Thoughts. "Paper" analysis. I think a 7-5 is a probable record in 2007. That's whoever is fired or hired on the coaching staff. WHOEVER is Quarterback and God help the lad survive with our inexperienced O line. If 10-2 causes grumbling 7-5 will separate the true fan from any bandwagon ND guy.

 

I do think regarding the QB situation and our inexperience Coach Weis will be junking a QB starter at the end of any quarter simply to try to get something no matter how small going score wise which is a luxury we did not really have with Quinn being the only guy worth mentioning.

 

 

Georgia Tech: A win but barely

 

Penn State: An Away game and a loss. I've see the rabid fans, the white outs etc. and I think our lack of talent and young guys can't handle it

 

Michigan: Away. We get thumped again.

 

Michigan State: Home. A new Coach there but a win for us.

 

Purdue: Away. Did well will do better but a win, barely

 

UCLA: Away. Somehow I think a win which gives us false hope

 

Boston College: Home. A loss

 

SC: Home. A loss

 

Break in schedule....

 

Navy: Home. A loss finally

 

Air Force: Home. Win

 

Duke: Home. Win

 

Stanford: Away. Win but close

 

2007 record 7-5

We are finally getting some more speed, and God willing a new defensive coordinator, so maybe it won't be as bad as we all think. We are going to be a younger team, but hopefully a more athletic one.

i think we'll go 8-4 .. 9-3 if we get lucky and the young guys adjust quickly with our schedule being what it is to start the season..

Possible guys. I hated to put Navy down as a loss but my feeling was if there was there will never be a better time then 2007 to break that record string and make this the first class to lose. 8 straight games before a break with some young guys. I looked at how dinged our vets were when our break was after 6 games. But it's "paper" as I said as non of us know the changes coming, the 5th year guys coming back or whow they shape up come March. Jeese I just thought also of injuries.

Michigan, PSU and USC are the main losses with one more thrown in along the way. It will be an interesting year

we wont lose to a service academy, thats all coaching

 

i think the 3rd would be BC or purdue

 

i see purdue as a much bigger threat than BC though

 

we wont lose to penn state, there not that good, ga tech i think could be a loss just because it will be a first game starting against that d for our QB and alot of new o-line guys, but they will have no offense

 

really its not going to be a bad year guys, im telling you, you will be suprised in my opinion, but then again i trust our offense to be prepared, no matter who the qb is

ill take a shot.

depending who is QB the Irish could struggle early on offence.

im not sure which teams have what seniors leaving so that could effect my predictions.

i think there could be a surprise loss in there somewhere to bring the record to 9-3 instead of the 10-2 i currently have predicted.

eventhough ND wont have Quinn and company, i still expect them to be able to go out and have a chance to win every game they play.

What 5th year option players do you guys see staying?

well it seems like we are getting ready for 07, i think that you Will see an irish team that will struggle in just about every game, but we will get stronger as the season wears on, sure we will have a lot of mistakes , however i see a good TEAM EFFORT with no MONEY players, this providing that we get some speed on defense and a couple of power runners, dd will get us going i see jc getting his chance about the third game and we will lose but you can see the improvement. as for defense cord , can't fault him to much got to have material to work with, besides if we fault off or def cord's were finding fault with charlie. as he is responsible so lets get some speed and runner we will be OK . as for 5th year guys not sure, just hope that zibby is back for a while anyway. we might go 6 and 6 but will be much better in 08. what say you ?

not to throw to many stones but i think we could have played more of the rookies to let them get a taste of the action. why is it that just about every game we see on tv they have a very good power runner. we got to land one pretty soon we don't need dancers. whay say you

has to be Jones, no way jc will get the nod. Jones has been the scout qb all season . we need speed and power, we will struggle in every game til we get to the service teams could lose the first six. what say you?

Jones is fourth string behind Frazer - Jones was scout team qb for the option teams and the teams with the mobile qbs
