November 9, 200618 yr are you serious?????? What the heck is he going to do at ILL??????????????????????????
November 9, 200618 yr Who? Duval Kamara and Greg Little wanted to be Irish. Those 2 young men are the 2 WR's we should be talking about. I definitely don't want to see people crying and moaning over the loss of Benn. You win some and you lose some. One recruit can neither make or break a program. ND will be fine without Arrelious.
November 9, 200618 yr whatever good luck in Illinois Benn, your going to need it. i think its going to be intersting over the next 2/3 years while Benn is playing in Illinois wheather he has good numbers or not he wont be getting the attention or coverage he would have gotten at Notre Dame.. yet Clausen is going to be throwing TD after TD after TD after TD to Little, Kamara, and the other great Notre Dame WR's ..and Benn will be regreting his decision to not go to ND, good move Benn *thumbs up
November 9, 200618 yr Benn, I wish you the best of luck..... I am so sad to see you go to a mediocre program that will not do anything for you. Good Luck anyways. Go Irish!!!!!
November 9, 200618 yr Well boys! Looks like there wasn't going to be enough footballs for Benn. With that said. The last time I checked national championships are won by teams with GREAT Quarterbacks! Guess who wins? You can be the greatest WR in the world but if no one can get you the ball then you are screwed!
November 9, 200618 yr I actually think it was an interesting choice for him. I liked how he wanted to do something like D Williams did at PSU. it certainly isn't the choice I would have made, but it's definitely ballsy. broke said it's not over still NSD, but I think Benn is long gone. This choice seems pretty certain. Something miffed him towards ND, but he's still a solid kid and I think it's great that Michigan will get a little more hell in the coming years. Now, if we can just get Hughes and Wilson away from there..
November 9, 200618 yr Benn must now turn out to be a totally freak like Calvin Johnson or he will be forgotten, unlike top receivers Jeff S and Rhema Mcknight who were put into the spot light with a great QB and taught to excel by talented coaches.
November 9, 200618 yr No sweat for me boys. Many of you know my opinion on him as a WR and his skills. I wish him well and I really do think he did us a favor. The kid is a solid WR but not good enough to go to a school like Illinois and make a name for himself. He'll be a 7th round pick if lucky in 3-4 years. Would have been lucky to be a mid-round pick had he come to ND. Cheer up everyone! This is a blessing. Opens another schollie for a better player if you ask me. May not be at WR but we'll get better value from this schollie. And no, this isn't sour grapes because I'm mad that he shunned us. If you were on this board last spring and over the summer, you know I sincerely believe that this not that big of a loss.
November 9, 200618 yr i dont think anyone should say today is a disappointing day, we didnt get Benn, whipty skippy doo! ..we DID GET Greg Little! and he will be dominating defences for years to come!
November 9, 200618 yr Good luck to him, but I think Zook will not use him like Weis would. We got two other great WRs, so we will fine.
November 10, 200618 yr I agree with Vagas. Kamara and Little seem to be faster on the field, and both are said to be freak atheletes.

Now, if we can just get Hughes and Wilson away from there.. if he wants to do what D williams is doing, than break your arm in the 6th week of your freshman year, then have a losing record with an overrated quarterback.
November 10, 200618 yr im shocked..so many people i talked to who have talked to him were pretty sure it was ND..well we did get Little..not a bad day..and also remember we have Clausen..and a good QB can make great WR's..like Tom Brady is doing in NE right now..sorry for the bad info..really am shocked that many people with knowledge were wrong
November 10, 200618 yr Here are some words ofr you guys Rockne Leahy Weiss Holtz Montana Theisman Ishmael Quinn Bettis Golic Golic Brown ........(you get the point...the four horsemen, 11 concensus NCs, 7 Heisman trophy winners, man so many things to type...hands getting tired...oh man key board is starting to smoke from overworking it so hard............ok now Illini's list um....zook( a loser coach who's best game is a loss last week) um...Benn ( a recruit who hasn't played in college yet...) I wonder why i really could care less abotu losing Benn...hmm wonder....oh thats right cause when Benn made the biggest mistake of his life he didnt knock down my door, tear my diploma off my wall and then pry my class ring from my cold dead hands...yeah good luck kid.
