Hey guys. How are things going? Just checking in.

I saw this on Rivals, Marcus Gilchrist is a 4 star CB who is the 6th ranked CB. He has been talking to coach Lewis and is considering visiting ND in January. He is currently committed to Clemson and has been since July. He says he is 100% committed to Clemson, but he is still talking to Lewis about a January visit.

Stay tuned.

Its all good Broker. Good to see you here. Hope all is good with you and your new job? The recruiting scene is 'off the hook'...but the adrenaline is flowing! Go Irish!!!

By the way...Marcus would be huge for us...

Marcus is def. a baller and would be a huge addition....

Do you think this had to do with M Williams

That's interesting. I thought we weren't even in Gilchrist's top 3 when he decided.

Is it possible that he had academics issues that have since started to clear up? Just a guess.

:D Hey broker see about Emeka? This will cam the angst of the recruiting people some

IOWE, we weren't in his top 3 back then. In fact, he never even made a visit (official or unoffical) to South Bend. This is interesting. Now this would take the sting away from losing Michael Williams. Even though, Williams was more likely a Safety. We'll be fine at safety with Herring, Bruton, and my boy Sergio Brown. That kid is going to be all-world!

Let's get Gilchrist. He could also fill a role on offense and special teams (if need be).

Ok, here's my hypothesis and it is based on nothing other than the recent Article. Since his commit ND coaches have continued to show some love and have fostered the relationship with him. I think he is 100% clemson and will honor his commitment if things stay the same at Clemson.

I think ND is in a perfect position to get this kid if Tommy Bowden leaves Clemson. I think the Bowden may be a hot name after the season and if he leaves Gilchrist migh be ours.

i doubt tommy bowden will leave clemson this year and to be honest who would even hire him.

yea i havent heard anything about bowden leaving, he has a good program going down there and injuries really hurt him this year

are there even rumors out there about him leaving?

also, i think vagas hit this on the head

it is way to close to the rumors about williams to not have some connection, which is not a good sign

I heard a couple of people (ESPN analyst) talking about him returning to FSU to begin the transfer of power... Although I do not think he is that great of a coach, others in the national media seem to think so. Lets face it, many ADs are more than willing to follow the talking heads.

JAG, I can't remember which show and who it was. It might have even been on a radio sports show. But, I heard an analyst say that Bowden (Clemson) is tossing about the decision to retire and spend time in FLA watching his Dad's final years at FSU.

I know it sounds weird but I did hear someone say that. For the life of me I can't remember where. I think it may have been on a Saturday morning national talk show this past weekend that was interviewing a Clemson writer about the Maryland/Clemson game.

that would be very interesting, don't see that happening much

Of all times to leave Clemson, why now? With Davis, Spiller, and Wily Korn coming in they could be contenders year in and year out in the conference.

Agree Indy. Bowden won't leave Clemson now. His team is much better than FSU now, and he can spend time with his dad when his dad does retire. He may be considering it, but I'll bet on it not happening. Analysts are full of crap anyway, as we all know.

I don't know... ESPN seems to report alot of stuff before it is public. As for why would anyone want FSU over Clemson. Money, location, the ability to compete far NC every year.

Agree with most of that, but after being with the school for that long and finally appear to have hit your stride and have a legit contender, I know I wouldn't want to leave for anything less than a dream job.....so maybe FSU is his dream joB?

Vagas mentioned Tommy Bowden retiring and moving down to Florida. That's what doesn't make sense to me. I could see him succeed his old man (and I mean old) at FSU though in a year or two.

By the way, I despise the Bowdens.

Just talked to a girl friend, today, at Clemson and asked her about the T. Bowden situation. Apparently, it is pretty common knowledge over there that he is done, if not this year, next. I don't know; but I am leaving to go over there on Friday, so I will check it out. She doesn't know overly much about sports or Clemson, so I give her creds through her own ignorance that what she says must have something to it; because she is to dumb to know any different.

How could you not like Terry Bowden?!?!? Goes 12-0 at Auburn and bangs the University President's college-age daughter. Hotttttt...

thanks wave
