We’re here. One Shot. One opportunity even.

Scouted them last night

Good players

Good speed

If I’m Golden I bring the Caleb Williams plan from last year. Be ok with the run, not the deep shot.

Not a good week for a shaky FG kicker so I hope they have a plan or don’t need one.

We played Army…. The way we started against Virginia worries me.

I hear ya… I’m nervous as hell, but something in my gut says we are going to go out there and play punishingly. Feel like something clicked recently. I’m ready to roll and glad we don’t have to wait all day for this one to kick off…they are going to want to play spoilers but I’m feeling Marcus will have us locked in - business trip.

I recall some painful upsets on both sides of this rivalry over the years. Nervous but excited!

I will forever feel the 2002 game where CPA was our player of the game for blocking a punt…that’s how much Pete Carroll totally dominated Ty Willingham.

Sat next to a guy at the UVA game who felt Ty didn’t get a chance. I was like dude, you can’t recruit 12 players (out of 25) in two classes with 4 star Terrail Lambert being your sole “stud” and say he “didn’t get a chance.” Pete Carroll exposed Ty’s system in that one game and it was over in combination with the lack of recruiting. Even Davie’s recruits who were highly rated couldn’t save them…

Anyway, USC always gives me PTSD from those days…digs up a lot of negative feelings, even if they are as bad as they were in the 90s.

My two pauses are it’s a rivalry game and ND just traveled to New York to South Bend to LA. As you’ve seen from this year and all the new teams in different conferences and the win loss totals of those teams traveling two time zones. That said, I have complete confidence in Freeman and ND getting up for this game to finish out the season.

This season has been a joy. Long gone are the barely beating teams and getting zero reps for freshman. The constant bs’ing on why it’s hard to win a game and shopping down different isles etc. This has truly been one of the more enjoyable seaons(albeit one game) that I’ve witnessed in a long time.

The traveling is what worries me most, but Notre Dame has been doing this every season for as long as I can remember! I mean, they have ended the season in California for like ever, both Stanford and USC!

I also feel Freeman will have them ready to play, and end the season the right way!

Go Irish!!!

Just heard Reece talking. Out of the 5 losses for USC those totals combined were 19 points. So USC isn’t getting blown out. ND better come pissed off

From what I have heard on Irish Breakdown, USC has been in on every game they lost into the 4th quarter.

USC ranks 12 in strength of schedule for the season. Notre Dame is ranked 52.

USC’s best win was probably against LSU who they beat by 7 points. The best opponent that they played was Penn State who they lost to by 3 points.

I would love to see a blowout like last year. However, Notre Dame is a 7.5 point favorite so it should be a relatively close game throughout.

I listened to the press conference, and when I heard Freeman say that little stat about USC, it got me a bit nervous. 😬 However, Freeman did say they will be sure to make that a point of emphasis for preparation and sure that the entire teams knows that!

The last time we played there. Drew Pyne throwing that second half interception. Michael Mayer catching that ball at the very end of the game. They are USC. Freeman is trying desperately to get his full team’s attention.
