Senior Day! Hopefully the IRISH win this one for the seniors. Virginia is dangerous because they just upset #18 Pittsburgh in a close game I believe 24-19. The good news with that is they just played a hard fought 4 quarter game and ND had a bye and FSU who didn’t play up to their standard. Trap game as always but I think the ranked win by UVA and what is at stake for Notre Dame should get their attention.

I guess they will release the press conference link while I’m working on Monday. I liked when they released them early but no such luck.

My work family sweet people and lots of Penn State fans with disabilities are holding a tailgate party at the office.

Should I:

A. Go. Listen to the Notre Dame game on the radio in my office. Game starts at 3:30 PM(same as ours). I know streaming apps but my office wi-fi is less than optimal and I want them to project PSU streaming for the people.

B. Stay Home. Watch ND as normal, be here for the thread.

C. Watch the other game put on a happy face and watch ND later.

I was on a pizza run for my kids and had the radio on when UVA had the long pass which should've been incomplete, and eventually lead to their first score. The announcers were killing the refs.

Another dominant game for Notre Dame, which I love for all the Seniors!

Offense: Super sluggish start and were so Jekyll and Hyde, but turned it on it the 2nd Quarter to go up 28-0! Not happy with Denbrock wanting to play hero ball with Leonard. I mean, Leonard is playing much better, but you can’t rely on him to win the game. That was seen today in the 1st Quarter. However, I did love that Leonard had 3 passing TDs! Really though, Love and Price need more carries! A lot more! Those two need to be the ones that carry the offense!

Defense: Once again, the real stars of the game! I feel that without all of those turnovers, the offense wouldn’t have scored as much as the did! All I need to say, and I know I keep repeating myself, is this is a Championship Level Defense!!

Special Teams: Punting was outstanding! Best all year, really. Kicking…yikes! Let’s hope and pray no game comes down to a field goal! 🤞🏼 Punt blocking got close, and punt return was good besides the one muff!

Overall, a solid game and great win to end the season in South Bend!

If Tony Elliott switched QBs in the 1st half, that might have been a 21-14 win. Offense looked bad in 2md half.

I wonder wht Freeman didn't challenge that non-catch on UVAs first drive.

Favorite play = the fake punt. That long pass happened right in front of me…the side judge should’ve overruled the guy behind the catch who made the call. Clear as day he dropped it.

It’s fun to see the changes to the gameday environment. So much cool stuff!

Virginia might of been the hardest hitting bunch I’ve seen on film and they proved it.

That nose tackle gave us issues

Denbrock was able to empty the Tackle Box but UVA was unwilling to allow Leonard to beat them with his legs

Adjustment: Empty or equalize the tackle box and hand it to the RB.

Defense:

Golden did what he does rely on the Front 6 yes only 2 LB to stop the run. Played aggressive pass defense. We’re going to live with a deep pass because they will CONTEST every pass.

agreed! This was my first in person game since senior day 2012 (I know…I know…) but what an absolute awesome game day experience. Crowd was loud - can only imagine what it would be like at a game that really REALLY mattered. Next time back we are doing a night game.

Other positives - parking at Eddy was a breeze. Plus there is a second Hammes right there. We dropped $600US at the bookstore but they stopped delivering to Canada via mail so it was a no brainer to stock up. The On campus Hammes was a zoo but checkout was way better than past years.

Elkhart is a far better option than Benton Harlem… the hotel wasn’t all that great, but 25 mins back and forth is far better than 40 mins and putting my life at risk…

Our last game was Michigan 2012! It’s crazy - like a kid played Minecraft and built a bunch of stuff on campus. I’ll see if I can post some videos and pics.
