All the 40-35 games in the world are exciting but give me a game in the 20-30 point range  and that makes me the happiest.

I get it Freeman may be a bit Tressel like, but teaching kids defense paid off for Saban and it will for ND too.

I'm a fan of strong defenses and smash mouth offenses.  You can score a lot of points with a run dominant offense.  I really liked watching Vandy yesterday with their option elements, and HC Chadwell at Liberty(formerly at Coastal Carolina).  Their run games are creative, unlike what we've seen at ND for years and multiple coaches.  Urban Meyer freshened up those old school offenses of the past during his time.  They take some type and effort teaching them, but when they work they are devastating to defend against.

Clock eating, ball control offenses are a defenses best friend.  Again Vandy took possessions away from Bama by eating up the clock all game long and kept drives going.  I think TOP was 3 to 1 in Vandys favor.  All of the Tides weapons were neutered if they can't track meet you.

I would like to see us execute throw shuttle passes up the middle that Vandy killed Bama with several times.  Relatively low risk with good upside.
