What to Watch 2024 - Week 5 (Peacock game)

Recommended Posts

Bunch of great games this week in all time slots. If one game is a blowout, there should be plenty of choices to switch to. Also, better have your PEACOCK subscription setup this week because it will be the only place to watch the ND game and there is a decent game in each time slot on Peacock. I see this weekend having a few upsets...

* All times are Central Time Zone

Thursday Night
6:30 - Army @ Temple - ESPN - Only college game on Thursday. Future opponent, could be competitive

Friday Night
6:30 - Virginia Tech @ #7 Miami - ESPN - Miami looking great so far
7:00 - Washington @ Rutgers - FOX - I see this one being competitive if you want to watch something Friday night

Morning Games (Saturday)
11:00 - Kentucky @ #6 Ole Miss - ABC - Ole Miss finally plays a competent opponent, how good will they look?
11:00 - Minnesota @ #12 Michigan - FOX - Michigan got lucky last week in my opinion, they cannot throw the ball. How many home games do they have?
11:00 - #20 Oklahoma St @ #23 Kansas St - ESPN - Winner could be in the conference championship game, should be a good one
11:00 - #22 BYU @ Baylor - FS1 - BYU has been solid, but it is on the road against a quality team
11:00 - Maryland @ Indiana - BTN - Indiana is on a roll, this should be a fun one
11:00 - Nebraska @ Purdue - Peacock - How does Nebraska bounce back? How does Purdue look against B1G?

Afternoon Games (Saturday)
2:30 - #15 Louisville @ #16 Notre Dame - PEACOCK - Go Irish!!! Peacock only, not going to be on NBC
2:30 - Wisconsin @ #13 USC - CBS - I think USC bounces back and wins by double digits, but how good will they look?
2:30 - #21 Oklahoma @ Auburn - ABC - Not a fan of either team, but man, I hope Oklahoma smokes them at home.
2:30 - Arkansas @ #24 Texas A&M - ESPN - Gonna be rooting for Texas A&M from here on out for our SoS
2:30 - Colorado @ UCF - FOX - It's Colorado...

Evening Games (Saturday)
6:00 - #3 Ohio State @ Michigan St - Peacock - Something tells me this game may be closer than people anticipate
6:00 - Stanford @ #17 Clemson - ESPN - Clemson looked great last week. Stanford has performed better than expected
6:30 -  #2 Georgia @ #4 Alabama - ABC - Biggest of the week by far (semi-final quality game)
6:30 - #19 Illinois @ #9 Penn State - NBC - I think both of these teams are overrated, but I think it could be competitive
7:00 - Florida St @ SMU - ACCN - I see this one being competitive and future opponent in FSU

Late Night Games (Saturday)
9:00 - Washington St @ #25 Boise St - FS1 - I also see this one being competitive
9:15 - Arizona @ #10 Utah - ESPN - Utah should win this one by 10+ points, but Arizona can surprise people
10:00 - #8 Oregon @ UCLA - FOX - Oregon hasn't looked, but neither has UCLA.

Gosh. I wonder where ESPN game day will be?
‘Bama v Georgia. That’s a great game to have this early in the season.
I’ll encourage you to root for A&M regardless of ND. Great school, great tradition, solid head coach.
Ole Miss’ first loss of the season.

Wow I didn't realize Army is now 4-0.  Be nice if they can keep that up and crack the top 25.

If Army is undefeated when ND plays them, how confident would anyone be that ND would win that game?

I feel like ND has a version of Army’s offense. Run, run, run, throw downfield only once or twice a game.

I would be confident, but not 100% going into the game.

Same goes for Navy, because they look good this season and are 3-0!
