Mike Martin seems like an excellent choice to help navigate this new era, and building out a robust scouting department could help the Irish gain an edge on the competition, especially with such a complex landscape.

Sounds like they are trying to get back to their blue collar roots, to some extent at least. I think it is great if they are actually serious about opening the coffers to give to deserving  students who might not otherwise get a chance. My twins are looking at schools for college, sad when they say they can’t go somewhere because they won’t get in or don’t have enough. Bad times in our economy i really hope it relents for the sake of my kids and their kids.Â
