It's impossible not to notice the changes happening with the site right now, so my apologies if anyone's been inconvenienced by the changes happening. At the very least, it's only fair that I give everyone an update on what's coming.

The upgraded forums are still in Alpha and a work in progress, but the changes here are due to my efforts in mirroring what I can between both versions. This should make the transition as smooth as possible once ready. Please keep in mind that things you see are still subject to change but enjoy a sneak peek of where the site is headed.

And also the problem with embedding FB or IG links, they usually force you to log in to view them. X does not. Much more convenient.

Its not all the time, I don’t know what prompts a log in. But for whatever reason, some links I click prompt me to log in, some don’t. Not necessarily from this website but in general.

Regarding Facebook and Instagram, there are ways to enable embeds, but it’s an absolute nightmare to get Facebook services to work and keep updated. For those unaware, Instagram is owned by Facebook.

@Mike, I know you’ve said in the past that the reactions on the site are limited and if’s hard to make more. However, I was wondering if there was a way to make it to where you could use any emoji you want.

Like, keep the same ones we have, but add a + icon so you can select the emoji of choice. I was only asking because that seems to be the way most software is going. I use MS Teams at work, and it’s now an option. Same for IOS.

No worries at all if you can’t do it, but with the new site and software we have here now, I was just wondering if it could be an option.

And I of course bring this up because all of you know I love my reactions and emoji’s! 😜😂

That’s not an option with the software, but I could see why it makes sense. Reactions received is the largest part of the reputation system of members, which are tied to the ones we said

• Everything is +1 except Brian Kelly

• Brian Kelly doesn’t affect reputation

• The emoji was -1

I’m completely open to giving them a refresh. If you’re interested in going to the drawing board, let me know and we can figure something out 😁
