FaithInIrish Forever
Marshall was year 1 By year 3 that should not happen. If Freeman Runs Leonard out there next week. I'm fear his era will be like Bob Davie. @SpeedsterX predicted this on the hire as he was a strong proponent of Luke Fickell, who I don't thnk ever was interviewed. Let's see how freeman handles his first true Hot Seat.
Baldy
The seat is warm now, but I wouldn’t say it’s hot yet. However, I know people are tired of seeing this happen, which includes all of us! And as you said Faith, it shouldn’t be happening in year three!

What’s odd is in the 4th quarter, I saw Leonard had his helmet off and Angeli had his helmet on and it looked like he was in line to warm up, but then nothing happened! 😑
Baldy
This is definitely worth the read. Let’s hope that this loss is a massive wake up call for the team and they can right the ship! 🙏🏼
mcgov12
They need a qb that can open up this offense and these defenses are stacking the box right now. Leonard can’t beat them through the air, can’t throw downfield. I’d say the seat is between warm and hot, but let’s see what he does. Throwing all his eggs into the Leonard basket will tell me it’s just not happening with Freeman at the helm.

I had said Freeman needs to take a long hard look in the mirror, and make some big changes. But would agree with what you said, in that if he doesn’t, then Freeman is not the guy! TexasDomer
Anyone else think there’s zero chance that Freeman doesn’t coach out his contract at least? The optics of firing 2 coaches 3 years into a contract…. Both of whom are African American…. And never doing that for a white coach…. I just don’t see it. and I’m not suggesting that Freeman is otherwise comparable to Ty Willingham, the golf pro.

Are any of those guys in the NFL? Were any of those guys even in contention for a playoff spot? Yes, they were the problem. They weren’t that good. And if he wants Leonard to do street all stuff then you’re going to see more ints like you saw Saturday. You can Street ball and still be smart with the football and know where the game is. That deep throw was one of them. So, Freeman is right on saying stick to the gameplan there. ND was winning. Has the ball at a good spot. Time was factor. No need to throw a jump ball there. Remember Freeman learned a lot for Tressel. From some Bucknuts friends. They always hated on how close to the vest, no pun intended, Tressel played teams. Very conservative. That’s Freeman. He went out and got Denbrock to be explosive. But he also wants smart play.

Sark is a lousy coach and won face up with the Texas job. He ok at SC. Sucked at UW, fired from the Falcons and tricky Nicked saved his life. He will lose a big game soon enough. Bet on it! But he’s right to show that loss. He’s Joe Kane from the movie, “the Program.” It’s just a matter of time before he shits the bed.
