coltssb
People sure take things out of context. He’s pretty much saying Leonard decided to do too much and went out of the gameplan. Denbrock has nothing to do with this. Im also gathering…that playaction was probably intended to be a short first down pass but Leonard decided to go big. Not what they wanted on that. Either way, should of just ran the ball on that play—-unless Leonard audibled to something else..
NDLincPark
I guarantee come Sat Night, Leonard will be under center. this program, and the majority of their fans/alum, are archaic, legacy, slow movers who do not adapt to change, understand reality or attempt to be better

I’m not in favor of firing unless you lose embarrassing losses multiple times a year. Losses to say, USC and Louisville will not garner attention in my eyes. Losses to Miami(OH), Virginia, and Army will. That’s why BK stayed so long. He figured out just beat who you should and who cares if you lose to bigger teams. Your jobs safe.

Please be true. Fine, start him but I want the quickest hook ever. By fast I mean you miss two of your first three passes by a large margin. Like, not in the zip code passes that he has shown so far. 1

I dont want to see them run run run either. Make Leonard show he can make the throws. if he cant, no hard feelings but we are going with another guy.

It’s been 20 years since Quinn as someone who was a decent college qb who could read a defense and win games at ND. It’s been the main reason for ND’s struggles. They need to take a long look at Angeli and Minchey in practice and have Angeli ready if Leonard even slightly falters. 1

Unless he gets injured in practice this week, he will be the starter. I posted months ago that I think Carr will be the starter by game 8. I still think that. It's really, to me, a question of how long they tolerate Leonard, and how quickly they decide Carr has more to offer than Angeli. CJ starting against Navy would be great.

DamshaBua
Everybody should be on notice. Freeman is on notice. Carr or Angeli should get first team reps. No passing TDs in 2 weeks, 5 converted third downs. Leonard should be on notice. This was 2 steps away from App State-Michigan. It's definitely in the same zip code. It was the most humiliating loss in ND history. Go to Kyle in one of the nastiest places in CFB and handle business yet get confused and pushed around by NIU at home. I'm still shaking my head 2 days later. I think it's fair to start asking the questions. This can't happen EVER; it's utterly unacceptable. I want Freeman to be the guy so badly. He's young, still jacked, good looking. All things that should work in a living room selling Billy on coming to cold South Bend where he will actually have to go to class. 1

Leonard has thrown 3 TDs in his last 9 games as a starting QB Can you think of a high school team who would still keep that QB in the lineup? I cant Yet at ND, he was viewed as the savior, and is still the qb1

Call it idiotic fandom or whatever, I think I speak for a lot of ND fans when I say we are trying to grasp on to something. It's been way too long since we have been legit title contenders. I love my Irish and I don't care who is under center or who is coaching...I'm rooting. Call me delusional or whatever but if I can't stay positive and root for my team...Why even watch? 1
Kid Gloves
I want Carr to start the game. Leonard can’t throw the ball more than 20 yards. We need to throw the ball downfield to open up the offense. If Carr is as talented as the reports on him then put him in and let him gain experience. Playing Leonard at this point does nothing for our future and it doesn’t help us win games now. Pull the trigger and let’s see what he can do. AnTostal
If ND loses any of the next four games, I would start Carr in the game following the loss. A loss ends the season. It loses the locker room. It will lose recruits. If that happens, start the guy that everyone knows is the guy. While it would be nice to give him time to develop (if that's even something ND does), with a loss I think it's time to use this as a warm up season for what's to come. 2

I disagree here bud. I know this week seemed brutal but about 10 days ago we all felt good about 12-0. If they have any shot of making the playoff, they aim for that. How could they not? Don't get me wrong, Carr could be the best QB on the roster, but I think you start Leonard and give him a shot here. The hook should be very quick though. Angeli is the next man in and if we lose a second game, I agree. Go All in on Carr from that point on. or Minchey if he has earned it Edited September 11 by InLikeFlynn
