Being called Wimbush isn’t an insult. Wimbush was a good college football player. He won a lot of games.

QB Power is the best offense.

Hes a heck of a lot better than Weigman.

No he wasn’t…. He was horrible.

I couldn’t believe how bad Weigman was.

Love Wimbush. He deserved better. I think if Freeman was his coach his career would have had a different trajectory. I am not going to blame Kelly for every evil,  but he was a real bastard to his QBs. I think if Wimbush had a coach who talked him through the tough downs instead of screaming about turnovers he could have been great. It is what it is, though.

Leonard said all the right things post game and he made big plays when he had to. I am going to reserve further judgment until he plays against a team that isn’t a top defense and also when he has some more experience with the line.

Credit to the defense as well. Weigman jad a lot of pressure and a scary secondary roaming around. I can see him having a good year minus this game.

Leonard must improve. The schedule will give him time to settle in but that accuracy won't fly when it comes to possible playoff level games.

Leonard is a poor man’s Trevor Lawrence. The key to the future is developing more than one receiver than Beaux Collins. We have two explosive backs. We have a great defense.  Mitchell Evans will return. We need our other receivers to step up so that defenses can’t key on Collins.

in the end, we beat A&M by 10 on the road. Lots of time to develop our offense. Our defense is elite.

we have a punchers chance to win a NC, but the trajectory of the program is going up.

The most fun thing of the night was watching A&M’s media trying to dismiss how we totally plunked their offense and-when the game was on the line- dominate them. They are in total denial that we beat them by 10 at their place and totally dominated their offense. They have this delusion that because they’re an SEC team that they have more speed and talent. It’s nonsense. We have more speed and talent, which is why they watched helplessly while we beat them by 10 at their place.

Best defense we will play all year.  Game 1.  He missed spring.  Evans and Faison barely played.

And that is significant for Leonard, the lack of practice time and familiarity with the offense.  I think the game plan tonight for him was to manage, don't take huge risks against that D in that environment.  He was pressured a lot and it made it impossible to push deep routes down the field let alone hit some of the shorter/intermediate stuff.  Plus this was the first game for him coming off his injury early/mid season last year.
