Notre Dame wins 23-13 against Texas A&M

Recommended Posts

There is now a 2 week period where the media will not see the Irish Practice. The team will prepare strategically and tactically for their road game vs Texas A&M.

We Know:

The irish have veteran Coordinators.

The offense starts out behind the defense. The defense is supposed to be top 5 or top 10. The offense is year 1.

The offensive line will likely feature a freshman at LT at least to start. Pendelton and Knapp are pushing seniors hard after the Jagusah Injury.

Senior QB,  explosive RBs and alot of WRs as many as 9 deep, are the Irish offense that have a few worried, many excited and all of us anxious,

Special teams are even exciting/anxiety producing with transfers at kicker, punter and Probable kicker returner

No news may be good news. Pray for no more prolonged injuries. Jagusah and Chance Tucker are enough injuries for me

This could be the main thread for all the talk leading up to the A&M game, with the exception being big stories, injuries, etc. Better to keep it simplified. Thanks, Faith.

Thanks. Traditionally when the media gets kicked out, it feels like the start of Game prep. The media hates it because they love their 5 viewing periods a day and interviews  when they can get them.

The Irish allow 15 practices in spring culminating in the Blue and Gold game as Spring Practices, 15 practices culminating in the Jersey scrimmage for Fall Camp. Then 2 game prep weeks before the opener that nobody sees.

Riley Leonard has never beaten a top 25 team.

Let's hope this is the first. He's also never  had running backs, , tight ends and receivers like ND has. Keep in mind. Repeated Leonard Comments will be diverted into your thread. This one can stay.

That's inaccurate again.

Clemson was 9th when Riley beat them last year and they finished 20th

A&M is a great place to see a game. Fantastic fans, respectful (unless they’re playing Texas), tremendous game day experience. If you feel a need to dislike a team in Texas, make that team be Texas. A&M, in a weird way, is a lot like ND. The students don’t tend to be irreverent, and tradition is a major part of the college experience.
Really looking forward to the game.
And ND needs to win this game.

Yes! It’s going to be electric, and hoping for a great game. But of course, an even better one for Notre Dame! 😆

Oh, I like that @Mike!

Notre Dame - 31

Texas A&M - 10

I just don’t see Texas A&M scoring much against this defense. I also see Leonard with two rushing TD’s and one passing, along with one Love rushing TD and a Jeter field goal.

If you can make it down to Texas for the game weekend, you will really enjoy the atmosphere inside Kyle Field and around town.  You will be treated well and probably invited to several tailgates.

Nice post!

I mentioned earlier, A&M is a lot like ND in that the fans and students are very respectful.  It's an amazing atmosphere.  Tons of tailgates spread out over an enormous area.  Also, if you have never seen the A&M band perform, it is a thing of absolute beauty.  Precision marching unlike anything you'll see from other bands.  And, looks like it will only be 92 degrees that day; a cold snap by central Texas standards.
