So far, all reports from pre-season are showing Riley Leonard to be about as mundane, non-dynamic, and vanilla as expected. 

He is certainly not an upgrade at the position, and is oft injured, with very limited arm strength. 

He is just such a boring and low ceiling choice.   

7 games last year,  About 125 yards throwing per game.   One passing TD every 2.2 games, LOL

 

He's had one injury, caused by us, in his college career.  Hard to say he is injury prone.

The dude is also abysmal against good teams. 

In his best season in 2022, Duke didnt play one ranked team during the regular season.   

And he absolutely sucked last year vs Clemson and ND 

When the best things you hear about him are

'He's the most confident hes ever been now that hes in his 4th year' and

'He leads,  not in the locker-room, but by being on the field' 

You know he is going to be awful.    He was a 3 star QB with offers from like Tulane and Syracuse.  

While he wasn't my first choice for a transfer QB simply because I don't want to have his "you suck" bullshit with his mom shoved down our throats every weekend, he is who we have and I will root for him just as much as I rooted for every QB before him.

Injured, then re-injured the same injury missing spring. 

Was horrific any time he played a good team (See Duke and Clemson last year). 

Played weak teams in 2022 (0 Ranked)

Wears a 'You Suck' Bracelet, to keep him humble cause 'my whole life I've kind of gotten a lot of praise.' 

This is going to be a nightmare with this noodle arm.  He is a white Tyler Buchner, but more of a douche 

Last year, against ND, Clemson, LVille and FSU (4 ranked teams)

If Leonard is good, great.

If Leonard is not good, he will be replaced.

This is how team sports work.

Because they are trying to win a National Championship (I know this idea is lost on many of you)

And have a top 10 team

Yet actively recruited a QB to come in and start who has terrible arm strength and a 53 College QBR in his career vs top 25 teams.
