Easy answer is both. LSU had a rare offense that had moments of both last year. They struggled with scoring fast and putting a bad defense out there at times.

The Irish were efficient against good and average teams last year. The best teams the Irish faced could get them off schedule though.

They lacked DYNAMIC speed, so it was fine when it was on schedule, ahead of the chains or whichever cliche' I want to use. but a 3rd and 12 was usually a 4th and  2 or it led  to a punt or worse a turnover.

Good teams got ND off schedule more.

i think I'll put up with a few more 3 and outs and net a few more 50+ yard quick striking big plays. What do you say?

Would you rather guaranteed efficiency or the chance to be dynamic on offense? 3 members have voted

  1. 1. Efficiency vs hitting dynamic plays.

    • Efficient- keep me in every game until the 4th quarter.

    • Dynamic- Take some risks on bigger plays, ND might stall early but hit a game winner late.

Need to be efficient with execution, specifically moving the chains when teams will be trying to stack the box or selling out on the run. Quick slants to pick up a 1st down.

Dynamic used when noticing what the defense will be doing, and taking a shot when they are not expecting it/asleep. Basically, taking a shot to punch them in the mouth so they don’t get too confident.
