There is a Scout article titled 50/50 on Chris Donald. Obviously we all know what this means, but I can't help but think that we have this kid locked up. Broke your sources are saying he's a silent, correct? And TD are any of your guys saying the same? This kid is going to be a beast and I really can't wait to see him on the field in Blue and Gold...right next to TEZ!!!!

That article basically says the same things Donald said after his ND visit. Looks like nothing has changed, which is a good thing!

I think he is going to be irish. I think weis wants a lot of our guys to announce at the AA game. I think that is why miller had set that time table, (He said AA game because that would be the latest he would commit and did not know for sure he was going to colorado). Instate kids seem to commit earlier to homestate u than the they do to out of state schools, so the longer we have recruits on the board this year the better chance we have to get them.

except for Benn of course he is an EE and i have no idea what the fudge is going on with him.

By the way...

Welcome Irishhawkeye2107

Good point about Miller, but just maybe he was committed from the early stages of high school even? His love of Colorado seems genuine? As for Donald, he seems to want the whole package...football and academics. I am also feeling good about Chris because I feel there are some here who really know...and they have openly shared their thoughts on him, and have not wavered. I trust them and Coach Weis. Call it nativity, but I like the posts here and the majority of people make sense here.

Side note - but in the photos of Donald at the AA photo shoot, is that a Hannah and Friends bracelet he's wearing? It made me think of last year when we were hoping Raeshon McNeil would commit and there were photos of him wearing one of those bracelets too.

Maybe this is up there with the golf cart ride - look to see if these recruits bond with Weis enough so support the cause.

Wow...nice catch. Coincidental? I would like to assume not. Is Benn also wearing one?

D fence that is a great find, how you noticed that ill never know

Donald is going to be a huge get for us

TD - lucky find, but I have one of those too so maybe that helped. In the pic where he's holding up his AA jersey, it was really noticeable, so I went back to look at the others.

great work man, does this remind any of one of when mustian wore the play like a champion towel at the AA bowl practice, trying to get charlie to let him into ND

here's a pic of chris donlad when he got invited to play in the AA game, notice he's wearing a hannah and friends braclet on his left wrist. just something else to throw into the pot.

Not to throw water on this topic. But can one be sure it is a HANNAH? I've seen dozens on sale at Walgreens counter that have nothing to do with the Hannah Foundation. Various local schools, some other charity and even kiss me I'm Irish. But that's a heck of a pix of Donald. :D

could it be a green ND and a UT on the other wrist?

No paisen fine. :D I myself have seen too many bands by other organizations in all sorts of colors to identify one without, you know bending over and reading the thing close up. I never intended to say he's Irish or not just that one item?

Could it just be 2 bracelets he wears that have nothing to do with his college of choice?

IMO if he's goin to UT he'd announced by now.

I'm with you jersey, read on a UT message board he's been wearing that band for years, he's a lifelong UT fan.

Don't think it says anything about where he's going, I think he's Irish.

No problem Sir John, thought it was an interesting convo and I know I had seen it discussed on the UT before

Anyone remember the funny point Chris made in an article as to when he realized that recruiting was heating up? He realized that when he knew it would be either UT or ND but rather than hear that it was UT that he took off the UT bumper sticker off his car to be fair. Evidently someone took a picture of that happening while he was at the carwash and it was in the paper the next day, some people were understandably horrified etc... don't recall exact details but we do know he has removed a UT sticker so can't be a bad sign...might even say its a good sign, maybe it really was for parity/fairness but maybe not!!!

Reminds me of the story about the guy driving in San Franciso. You it has steep hills. On a big incline he drove up behind a station wagon. It was filled with a family and kids in back of it waiting at a red street light.

The station wagon started rolling back towards this guys car. So he starts blowing his horn madly so they don't damage his car front. He's blowing his horn and everyone is turning around smiling and waving at him.

Still blowing away on his horn just as they are about to collide, he notices their bumper sticker. "HONK IF YOU LOVE JESUS."

On the rivals national board, I see a thread with a title "Chris Donald info from 4HL". I don't have a IrishIllustrated membership anymore, so I was wondering if anybody could tell us what it's about. Thanks

Shark, I looked all over the Rivals main board, the main football recruiting board, and the II board. The latest Rivals article on Donald is dated 10/11. Give me more specs and I'll find out for you
