Final week of the season and a BUNCH of good games (Friday is even a full day)! I'll be saying who I am cheering for that will help ND get to a possible NY6 bowl and for what I personally want in the playoffs: Georgia, OSU, TCU, and Clemson (I do not want a second SEC team in the CFP this year).
Thursday Games 6:00 - Miss St @ #20 Ole Miss - ESPN - I'll be rooting for Miss St as that will hurt the SEC SoS.
Friday Games 11:00 - #19 Tulane @ #24 Cincinnati - ABC - I am rooting for Cincinnati as they could be the non-Power5 Champ that ND would face in the Cotton Bowl. 11:00 - Baylor @ #23 Texas - ESPN - I am rooting for Texas because it helps TCU solidify their spot in the top 4. 2:30 - NC State @ #17 North Carolina - ABC - I am rooting for UNC to strengthen both Clemson's and ND's schedule. 3:30 - #18 UCLA @ California - FOX - Not sure who I am rooting for on this; this is more because i think it could be a close game, but I dont think it has much bearing on the CFP landscape. 6:30 - Florida @ #16 Florida State - ABC - I am rooting for FSU again to bolster Clemson and hurt the SEC SoS.
Morning Games 11:00 - Georgia Tech @ #1 Georgia - ESPN - I wouldnt mind an upset here, but Georgia can still get in with a loss here I think. 11:00 - #3 Michigan @ #2 Ohio State - FOX - I hate both teams, but OSU needs to win here because Michigan's schedule is a joke and there is no way they should get in after a loss unless chaos happens. Also makes our close loss to OSU look better. 11:00 - South Carolina @ #8 Clemson - ABC - I am rooting for Clemson here straight up to get to the CFP
Afternoon Games - Bunch of middle of the road B1G games in this time slot that should be competitive, but have no effect on the CFP. 2:00 - #25 Louisville @ Kentucky - SECN - I am rooting for Louisville here, again, to bolster Clemson and hurt the SEC. 2:30 - Auburn @ #7 Alabama - CBS - I am rooting for Auburn to get the upset here as there is a chance Alabama somehow still slips in, they are overranked based on their body of work this year. 2:30 - #9 Oregon @ #21 Oregon St - ABC - I am rooting for Oregon St to get the upset, just helps knock off a team ahead of ND. 3:00 - Iowa State @ #4 TCU - FOX - Rooting for TCU straight up to win out. 3:00 - Michigan St @ #11 Penn State - FS1 - I am rooting for Michigan St here as Penn State is easily the most overrated team in college football.
Evening Games 6:00 - #5 LSU @ Texas A&M - ESPN - I am rooting for Texas A&M for obvious reasons... 6:30 - #15 Notre Dame @ #6 USC - ABC - Go Irish!!! 7:00 - Kansas @ #12 Kansas St - FOX - I am rooting for Kansas to get the upset and bump K-St below ND. 9:30 - #13 Washington @ Washington St - ESPN - I am rooting for Washington St to get the upset and knock UW below ND
These are my interests, let me know if you want these games to play out a different way. I believe if all the teams I root for win, Notre Dame will be in the Cotton Bowl (Notre Dame's best hope to make it to a NY6) and the CFP will Georgia, OSU, TCU, and Clemson (Unless there is a major upset in Championship Week of course)
