BK just beat Bama and in his mind validated all the reasons he couldn't do it here.  Oh well good for him.   I agree that Freeman just did something that BK never could and who would make excuses

Kelly just did what Kelly couldn’t do too 🤣

Hey, you’re the one obsessed with stats and facts. Now it’s “whatever.”  Ha.
I may be ignoring numbers to an extent. But you’re ignoring what those numbers are and who are behind those numbers. Some are higher graded recruits than what ND has had under Kelly.
Would you like a comparison?  I hate bashing our guys but quickly… who would you rather have right now…

Pyne or Daniels?

We ALL know the answer to that. You don’t have to answer.

They are just facts...

And to extent? Like a delta of 33 lol..

Pyne had great offers, including Bama... and has time in ND's scheme.

Daniels got demoted, and transferred late to LSU, with zero time in BK's scheme.

Again.. I know you got shot in the head, but hey it was only a 38 and not a 45... lol..

Now y'all are just arguing to argue.

Kelly didn't do what he did at ND, so it's all a moot point. Transitive properties don't work, he did a damn good job cobbling a team together that could beat Bama in his first year. No shame in that, and that doesn't mean I still "want him" at ND. He can't do at ND what he can do at LSU, that's my honest, sincere opinion. And that's not his or anyone else's fault and it shouldn't be the goal, either.

Conversely, Marcus put out a team that beat a very good, if not overrated Clemson team, but he did it with a QB that IS a backup and has specific things he can do ok, and quite a few things he simply cannot do. But, he was gutsy and careful with the football in a huge game.

LSU got a victory, ND made a statement. Georgia made a statement. These things aren't all equal, but they are all part of the story.

Still a lot of football left to play, and it's going to keep being a wild ride for a bit. What a season, so far.

Ya think?

Brian Kelly inherited a Top 10 team that was used to winning 10 games a season as well…

LSU in 2021: 6-7

Notre Dame in 2021: 11-2

And two years prior LSU went 15-0 and won a National championship. Every year is a new and different team. Based on my knowledge of Kelly and what he did at ND I can safely say that he wouldn’t of won against either Clemson or Ohio State. But he would of beat Stanford and struggled to beat Marshall. Those are safe assumptions because that’s what has happened the past 12 years. The only difference at this point is would Kelly had rode with Buchner and Pyne or got another transfer. If getting Coan tells you anything from last year, he would of went and got another transfer again.
And if we are looking at history and if all things stood in Buchner getting injured. How would of Kelly done with Pyne?  I think Kelly probably loses to Cal and maybe even North Carolina. Because Kelly would of kept trying to fit a round hole in a square peg. Meaning, constantly throwing with Pyne 30 times a game because that’s his philosophy. He also wouldn’t be playing Estime because he’s not a “blocker” at first. Also, his couple of fumbles would of put him in the dig house.
And, If I’m being fair on my assessment, if Kelly coached this team with these exact starters, Kelly probably has three losses too. We also, wouldn’t be feeling good about a Clemson victory. We also wouldn’t know where we are as a program. It would be the same mantra…this is the best we can do with Pyne and this offense. Only thing, we wouldn’t be dominant in the run game becUse Kelly’s offense never suggested that.
