SDIrishFan
Haha, nothing would make me feel better than getting Lloyd Carr’s grandson. Next question is can he reclassify? Seems Moore is doing Moore’s thing, and he’s entitled to that, but time ND applies some Pressure and gets rid of the first writ of refusal. irishwavend
I’ll never forgive Lloyd Carr for his bs recruiting, telling black students that ND was racist and no place for them. I hope his grandson is a good kid, because granddad is a POS.
4thand1
Certainly, seems like ND is in great position to get him! I would love to know what the staff said to him regarding the likelihood of getting Moore's commitment this cycle. My guess is the staff doesn't feel good about Moore joining the squad. I just heard on a podcast that the two are not linked at all. They debunked that Carr would not come here if Moore did and vice versa, which makes sense. These top flight kids are all going to places than land highly rated kids they have to beat out.

At that to the fact that kids can now transfer without penalty and it's no big deal.
EddieAngel
I won’t believe he would actually show up at ND until he is graduating from ND. Until then I am going to assume this is a very elaborate hoax by a Meatchicken ultra legacy.

coltssb
I’ll say this. The man seems accurate. However, I didn’t like the offense. This looked a lot like Ian Book and ND’s offense. Waiting. Waiting. Waiting. Running around looking for someone to throw to the. Bam. I am not in favor of this if that’s what the next four years will be. I know crying about a five star qb. I just didn’t enjoy the playground football as much with Book. Yes, I know he won a lot. But when it came to the big boys Book was anemic. Part of Book's problem as a passer IMO was his inability to see over the line and hit the middle routes, think TE seam. Also I think Kelly was about limiting turnovers and having a QB with some shortcomings like height and being unable to go through progressions feeds into that. Book was hardly the only BK era QB who locked in on his primary WR and had trouble seeing players running uncovered on routes. Somewhat fortunate that outside of Rees and Coan most of our QBs have been running threats. Going forward I really want to see progression of our QBs abilities as they get older, and not the regression or stagnation of their learning and ability. That's all on Tommy now. 1

It seems that Kelly fancied himself a QB whisperer but did he really deserve such a label? He played LB at a Div III school, coached on defense until he became a HC. But somewhere along the line, he became an offensive genus. He probably picked the brains of some of his early OCs like Charlie Molnar and Chuck Martin. In any case, to get this thread back on topic, sometimes a QB like Carr is hampered by the talent and coaching at his high school. Our local high school is going to be very weak at OL this year. As a result, the QB will probably look much worse than he did last year as a junior. I can see him running around looking for someone to throw to due to lack of good protection on most passing plays.
